Roles & Objectives
As an Intern you will be part of our Design and Change Control team for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to the Multi-Physics Modelling Manager. The position will be based in our R&D Center in Zola Predosa (BO).
In your role, you will learn how to apply your knowledge to actual projects in an international and multi-cultural environment. You will be guided to support engineering projects and develop appropriate strategies to introduce new methodologies, processes, and innovations, supporting business needs., with focus on multi-physics modelling
Specific Responsibilities:
- Support the development of innovative products, applying computational modelling tools and multi-physics modelling techniques, in the fields system modelling, or in one among CFD/FEM/electrical simulation.
- Define and analyze product critical parameters in order to identify their impact on the performances, on the quality and the production process.
- Apply and support the development of innovative modelling techniques, create know-how and tools to develop products and processes from Idea Generation to Prototype.
Who we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate should have:
- University degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry;
- Interest in one or more of the following areas: Fluid dynamics (CFD);Structural analysis (FEM);Chemical processes;Electrical or electronic systems;
- Basic knowledge of CAE simulation tools such as:COMSOL, ANSYS, SimCenter, Simulia, OpenFOAM, or similar;
- Equivalently, familiarity with system simulation tools like:Amesim, MATLAB Simulink, GT-Suite, P-Spice, or simila
- Fluency in English is mandatory, and will be evaluated throughout the interview process;
- Exposure to Python to programming and/or interest in systems engineering is also a plus.
Additional Requirements
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools;
- A proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work well in a team;
- Strong analytical thinking and communication skills.
