Roles & Objectives
As an Intern, you will be part of the Manufacturing Development Center Planning Department at Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A., reporting to the MDC Senior Test Coordinator. The position will be based in Bologna.
In this role, you will support the optimization of material flows and planning processes required for prototyping production activities, collaborating closely with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure operational efficiency.
This internship offers hands‑on experience in material management, exposure to end‑to‑end supply chain processes, and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic, multinational environment.
Specific Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and improvement of new and existing material management flows related to prototyping production activities.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and standardize processes with a focus on automation, contributing to tools, dashboards, and workflows that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the planning of materials required for prototyping production activities, ensuring proper availability, timing, and alignment with project needs.
- Provide operational support and insights to ensure the smooth execution of prototyping programs.
- Maintain proactive communication with key internal partners to ensure transparency, timely updates, and coordinated execution.
Who We’re Looking For
- Recently graduated or currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Industrial Management, or related fields
- Strong analytical mindset and interest in process optimization.
- Comfortable working with data and digital tools (advanced Excel, Power Automate, Power BI, PowerPoint, MS Office, etc.).
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
- Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory and will be assessed throughout the interview process.
