Roles & Objectives

As an Intern you will be part of our IT Global Operations department for Philip Morris Manufacturing & Technology Bologna S.p.A. and will be reporting to a Senior IT Analyst. The position will be based in Zola Predosa, our R&D center in the vicinity of Bologna.

In your role, you will understand digital foundations, learn basic IIOT machine connectivity and get acquainted with data ingestion, all while improving your problem solving skills. 

Specific Responsibilities:

• Monitor and Maintain IIOT Connectivity: Ensure machines connections are functioning properly and troubleshoot any connectivity issues;

• Data Collection and Analysis: Regularly collect data from connected machines and perform preliminary analysis;

• Collaborate with Team Members: Work closely with colleagues to share insights and develop solutions;

• Document Processes and Findings: Keep detailed records of daily activities, issues encountered, and solutions implemented;

• Support Ongoing Projects: Assist in various projects related to IIOT, digital foundation, and data ingestion;

• Ensure compliance with Good Practice requirements.

Who we’re looking for: 

• University degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent;

• Interest in topics of Industry 4.0, Smart Factory, and Data Ingestion;

• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian is a must, interviews may be carried out in Italian or English;

• Ability to work both independently and in team, to engage with multi-functional stakeholders.
