We are now recruiting for a new Procurement Lead R&D, team based in Yeveren, Armenia!

 

Your purpose –

 

You will be responsible for all purchasing activities for PM Armenia R&D centre, with an emphasis on process oversight, process improvement and streamlining, and initiation and implementation of various procurement projects. Visible impact will be achieved by ensuring goods and services are purchased using the best combination of quality and price in accordance with PMI P&Ps and best practice while proactively identifying efficiencies and opportunities to simplify.

 

Your ‘day to day’ –

 

  • Manage the procurement process to ensure that it functions optimally, actively enhanced and streamlined, and that non-value-added activities are eliminated by applying in-depth process understanding and change management in all levels of the PM Armenia organization.
  • Ensure the sourcing of goods / services with the best combination of quality and price, in line with business requirements, and on a timely basis. Drive supplier selection strategy and liaise with all stakeholders to define optimal purchase patterns, to optimize spending and achieve cost savings. Monitor marketing warehouse to identify stock levels and initiate actions where appropriate.
  • Implement end-to-end procurement process, from PR (purchase requisition) creation to GR (goods receipt) including, but not limited to: RFQs (request for quotation), competitive bidding and negotiations with suppliers, and related documentation / systems transactions.   
  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of PMA contracts with suppliers and should ensure all contracts are prepared correctly and in-line with legal and tax requirements, stored and monitored appropriately, and updated where necessary. Actively evaluate and monitor supplier performance, report on issues and recommend appropriate corrective action plans to ensure compliance with contract obligations.
  • Ensure full adherence to PMI P&Ps and Compliance requirements in all parts of the procurement process, and ensure these are understood and followed by all functions. Implement monitoring tools to detect deviations, and ensure actions are implemented timely and effectively.

 

Who we’re looking for -

 

  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Business Administration, Procurement, Industrial Engineering, Finance, Economics or a related field.
  • 3+ years of validated experience within Procurement, ideally within R&D setting.
  • Proven experience in procurement process and change management, incorporating excellent supplier relationship skills and collaboration with multi-disciplinary peers and partners (Finance, Legal, R&D, etc).
  • Excellent written and verbal Armenian and English language skills, proficiency in Russian also desirable.
  • Effective communication, influencing and negotiation capabilities to both senior and junior audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others in procurement topics and processes.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills for data tracking and to support Internal Controls.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP systems.
