Job Description

The Planning Lead is responsible for analysing, optimizing, and improving business planning and operational processes, supporting budgeting and planning, cost controlling, reporting and analysis. This role involves data analysis, process mapping, and strategic planning to enhance efficiency, productivity and decision making across the organization. It also includes developing ecosystem programs and roadmap, building and managing strategic external partnerships to close ecosystem gaps and support effective collaboration.

 The Planning Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Job responsibilities

  • Support budget and rolling forecast cycles in close collaboration with the Finance and Planning team. Analyze external and internal cost, actuals vs planned and ensure budget adherence.
  • Support company's finance activities and business development and ensure compliance with finance and tax regulations as well as PMI Principals and Practices. Review R&D related contracts from Finance perspective.
  • Assist in developing and refining business plans, forecasts and operational processes.
  • Analyze financials and prepare/submit reports providing the management with the information required for planning and organizing activities in a cost-efficient manner and maintain the financial data in the Financial Systems (SAP, Tagetik, GMRB, etc) in line with US GAAP Standards and the Company's financial policy and procedures.
  • Support Integrated Planning Manager in Portfolio Management and Resource allocation. Conduct operational data analysis, prepare and maintain dashboards and presentations to communicate insights to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate projects: process facilitation, ongoing stakeholder engagement, scheduling, risk, and cost management. Identify potential insufficiencies that could impact business performance.
  • Manage CAPEX and project expenses, review business cases, prepare, submit, and track 650 forms. Oversee overheads expenses.
  • Define long term R&D Armenia needs from internal and external stakeholders in alignment with R&D Armenia Technical Streams and other relevant parties
  • Develop and implement R&D Armenia strategic program roadmap with financing models aligned with relevant internal and external parties
  • Build and manage long term partnership with 3rd party organizations in support of R&D Armenia long-term strategy
  • Assist in building processes and ways of working with external hubs and ecosystem and monitor daily operations.
  • Collaborate with relevant departments and disciplines to collect data and analyze processes to support projects and processes or compliance issues.
  • Ensure effective communication with central functions / clusters / markets and affiliates to ensure consistency of information across PMI.
  • Ensure all Compliance Policies, processes, standards and laws are fully respected/integrated, implement adequate processes to guarantee the protection of information.  

Skills and qualifications

  • Master’s degree is a plus in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid experience in planning, finance, controlling, or operations, ideally in a complex or international environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into clear insights and recommendations.
  • Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis, dashboarding, and visualization.
  • Proven ability to work cross‑functionally and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Structured, proactive, and comfortable operating in an evolving, fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
