Position Title:  Math and Product AI Engineer

We are seeking a Math and Product AI Engineer to design, develop, and implement AI/ML and mathematical models that address high-impact business and product challenges. This role is key to driving innovation, developing scalable analytical products, and collaborating across R&D, product development, and data science teams to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Develop Advanced Mathematical and AI Models

  • Design, develop, and deploy mathematical models and AI/ML solutions leveraging deep learning, probabilistic modeling, and optimization techniques.

  • Identify, evaluate, and implement novel approaches to solve complex business and operational problems.

• Drive Product and Process Innovation

  • Integrate AI and mathematical insights into product development and optimization workflows.

  • Collaborate with product teams to design experiments and prototypes, defining metrics to evaluate product performance and user impact.

  • Lead knowledge transfer to enable adoption of advanced techniques across teams.

• Collaborate and Engage with Stakeholders

  • Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to align AI-driven initiatives with business goals.

  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Represent the Math CoE in regional and global forums, sharing best practices and fostering collaboration.

Required Qualifications

• Education: Master’s or PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:

  • 3+ years in Applied Data Science, AI/ML, and Mathematical Modeling.

  • Experience in tobacco or consumer goods industry preferred.

  • Proven expertise in solving complex, real-world problems using advanced AI and mathematical techniques.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to learn on the fly.

• Advanced proficiency in programming languages (Python, R, MATLAB, Julia).

• Expertise in AI/ML libraries and frameworks.
