Your 'day to day'

 

As a Manager Product Data Integration, you will drive Data Integration projects/activities and develop appropriate strategies to introduce new technologies related to Global Data Warehouses, in order to meet business needs. You will be responsible for ensuring resources are available to meet the consolidated demand for the Maths CoE and ensuring that these demands are fulfilled, lead Data lntegration activities and guide Data Integration Engineers to implement new technologies reinforcing data availability, accessibility and Integrity, as will as ensure exploitability of data of interest. In addition, you will coach internal teams enabling them to understand the relationship between their functional requirements and the data integration requirements, support and participate in Process Integration projects, and provide fast prototyping capabilities. You will ensure resources are available to meet the consolidated demand for the Maths CoE and that these demands are fulfilled, as well as act as a lead specialist to provide coaching, guidance and input in the specific Technical Stream.

 

More specifically, you'll

 

•    Provide Line management responsibilities within their respective technical stream. E.g., objective setting, performance management, coaching and mentoring. Lead Data Integration activities and guide Data Engineers to implement new technologies reinforcing data availability, accessibility and Integrity. Lead activities related to the integration of quality data across various sources into an organized and unified view in collaboration with IT. Design, implement and lead the process to maintain Data Flow ensuring alignment with company standards and environment. Identify, design, and implement internal process improvement automating manual activities and optimizing data delivery for scalability.

•   Ensure exploitability of data of interest / datasets pertaining to an extended scope, as well as that data is harmonized, grouped & aggregated to cover any specific reporting and analytics needs. Clean, map, structure and assemble by context the data into sets ready for automatic reporting activities and analysis. Exploit data from various source systems to enable ad-hoc analysis and reporting. Monitor and challenge data quality and identify inefficiencies in data warehouses to leverage solutions. When required, deal with unstructured data, creating injection flow in domain specific database and implement the proper tagging mechanism to enable search, reporting and dashboards. Analyze, plan and implement data release and upgrade strategy. Update documentation accordingly including the respective data roadmaps. Create data tools for analytics to drive actionable insights.

•    Coach internal teams enabling them to understand the relationship between their functional requirements and the data integration requirements. Develop, build and maintain a strong knowledge of each data layer and cross-layer matter (security & risk, quality of service, service management) to ensure consistency & cohesion within the data architecture map. Assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs. Analyze user requirements, identify potential alignments and provide functional specifications for data warehouses.

•   Support and participate in Process Integration projects. Ensure data requirements are collected right from the beginning. Implement adequate processes ensuring that information remains confidential and secure.

•  Provide fast prototyping capabilities. Design, implement and lead fast-prototyping environments enabling on-the-fly integration and subsequent analysis of newly required dataset. Support early detection of issues and fast characterization.

•  Act as the most senior specialist on a topic - they would be expected to use this capability to provide senior input into any program, shape the solution of problems in their technical stream and define what specific new technologies are required for future growth and development within the Mathematical CoE.

 

Who we're looking for

 

•   University Engineering degree or in a Technical related field, or equivalent experience. Ideally further qualification in Data Science or similar field.

•    Minimum 7 years’ experience in data engineering role, ideally within the consumer goods industry, as well as in interpreting and translating complex information into success and storylines: dealing with ambiguity while fostering high-dollar-value business decision-making.

• Sound Expertise collaborating with and influencing teams at all levels of the organization, as well as in mobilizing and motivating people in a multi-functional set-up.

•    Critical thinking & problem-solving, ability to take decisions based on data, attention to detail & natural willingness to challenge the status quo, self-awareness, ability to influence others at all level in the organization, drive, results/processes orientation, ability to deal with ambiguity.

•    Demonstrated Line management expertise and leadership.

•    Analytical and monitoring skills (descriptive, diagnostic), with data visualization. Ability to analyze & interpret heterogeneous and complex data / work on complex investigations coupled with documenting & report writing.

•    Sound program & project management expertise, demonstrated business understanding and ability to prepare cases.

•    Proficiency in SQL, AWS, Python is required.   

•   Knowledge and expertise in PowerBI, Spark, SnowFlake are an advantage.

•   Good command of English is required.
