Production Line Manager
PMI is seeking a Production Line Manager to lead production operations, develop teams, drive continuous improvement, and ensure a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence. This role is responsible for the 24-hour performance of assigned production line(s), ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining safety, quality, sustainability, and equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Safety, Sustainability & Compliance:
Ensure compliance with PMI policies, legal requirements, EHS&S standards, GMPs, and company procedures.
Promote a safe workplace and support sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction, segregation, and pollution prevention.
Lead Safety Metrics, Incident Elimination, Quality Trigger, Clean, Inspect & Lubricate (CIL), and Defect Handling programs.
Facilitate Daily Direction Setting (DDS), shift handovers, and team huddles.
Quality & Operational Excellence
Ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
Lead Quality Trigger activities to maintain product quality, integrity, and traceability.
Monitor performance, lead corrective actions, and drive ownership of quality at the source.
Lead Daily, Weekly, and Monthly DDS processes to achieve production and business goals.
Drive loss elimination, production attainment, and continuous improvement efforts.
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, including IPS, UPS, and 6W2H.
Develop and execute 90-day improvement plans to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
Maintain accurate operational data to support business and regulatory requirements.
Equipment Reliability & Maintenance
Lead maintenance planning and execution to ensure stable, reliable operations.
Own Defect Handling and CIL systems and ensure timely completion of maintenance activities.
People Leadership
Lead, coach, and develop production teams to achieve business objectives.
Build technical capability, accountability, and team autonomy through training and mentoring.
Foster collaboration across functions and address performance concerns when needed.
Continuous Improvement
Lead OPEN+ and IMS initiatives that support a zero-loss culture.
Conduct failure mode analysis, implement corrective actions, and drive sustainable operational improvements.
Ensure compliance with contractor qualification and change management requirements.
Qualifications
Technical High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, or Master's Degree required; science-related field preferred.
3-5 years of manufacturing or production experience.
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Annual Base Salary: $88,000 - $110,000
