Your ‘day to day’:
- Ensure that machinery and process standards are sustainable, clearly defined, and properly documented.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for one defined technology and serve as the primary contact for Global Centers of Excellence (CoE) teams.
- Create and review technical documentation such as process flow diagrams, process risk assessments, and process control points.
- Ensure compliance of processes and procedures with QMS systems and documentation requirements.
- Act as an expert advisor for production teams on all matters related to product quality, processes, and systems, ensuring alignment with OPEN+ pillars and systems.
- Maintain and manage scientific and technical knowledge for the assigned production area (Product, Process, and Systems).
- Support and investigate non-conformities and trends, identify root causes, and implement preventive/corrective actions with proper follow-up and reporting.
- Lead and coordinate complex process/system projects, from technical development and solution design to implementation and post-project monitoring.
- Develop supporting documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer and production data management.
- Act as the single point of contact for regional/global productivity initiatives and support internal/external audits by providing expert guidance and follow-up on identified actions.
- Participate or lead special project teams to drive factory-wide performance improvements and implement global initiatives
- Ensure compliance with PMI and legal standards related to Environment, Health, Safety, and Sustainability (EHSS).
- Promote a transparent and interdependent safety culture, leveraging a preventive/predictive approach in alignment with Open+/IOS.
- Conduct Loss Analysis for key productivity KPIs and develop action plans to close performance gaps.
- Lead or participate in the Productivity Office as an SME or project leader focused on loss elimination.
- Source and implement Knowledge Transfer Packages (KTPs) and solutions from other affiliates to address productivity gaps.
- Share technical expertise to foster benchmarking, reapplication, and continuous improvement across the organization.
- Communicate loss elimination plans, priorities, and responsibilities to ensure cross-functional alignment.
- Identify skill gaps within the technical team and provide coaching, training, and guidance to develop required capabilities.
- Ensure own training and development plan is completed in alignment with facility and departmental goals.
- Provide regular coaching and mentoring to production staff and junior colleagues to ensure knowledge retention and capability building.
Who we’re looking for:
- MUST BE: Local to Wilson, NC
- MUST BE: Legally Authorized to work in the US
- Degree in Engineering or similar
- 2+ years experience in production area, quality, pharmaceutical or similar industry
- Preferred experience in IWS DMS and Tools
