This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.
This role serves as the strategic bridge between PMI’s U.S. Commercial/Sales teams and Illicit Trade Prevention (ITP-U.S.), ensuring alignment on compliance, operational priorities, and risk mitigation. The position focuses on leveraging data analytics to monitor sales volumes, identify anomalies, and support initiatives that safeguard supply chain integrity and commercial performance.
Your ‘day to day’:
- Act as the primary interface between Commercial and ITP teams to ensure consistent alignment on compliance and operational priorities.
- Ensure commercial activities adhere to PMI’s anti-illicit trade standards, regulatory expectations, and internal policies (including 10-C policy).
- Lead volume tracking and sales analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and potential risks impacting supply chain integrity or commercial performance.
- Drive initiatives that enhance transparency, traceability, and responsiveness across commercial and ITP workflows.
- Serve as the central point of contact for Commercial teams on ITP-related matters, facilitating timely communication, issue resolution, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and deliver actionable reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders, highlighting compliance risks and commercial performance indicators.
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Finance, or related field preferred
- 5+ years in the tobacco industry or a similarly regulated FMCG sector, with strong exposure to commercial operations, supply chain, or sales performance management. Experience in volume control or anti-illicit trade initiatives is a plus.
- Proficiency in order management systems, demand forecasting, and volume planning tools.
- Familiarity with commercial analytics platforms and ability to interpret sales/distribution data for operational alignment.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data modeling).
- Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Ability to synthesize complex datasets into actionable insights and executive-level reports.
- Experience with SQL coding is preferred
- Experience with Python and R is highly desirable.
- Proven success in working across commercial, sales, and supply chain teams to align business goals with operational execution. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities within commercial data and translate insights into strategic recommendations
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working at a computer, standing.
- Ability to drive a vehicle and fly on commercial aircraft.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S. now or in the future without need for sponsorship
Annual Base Salary Range: $149,600 - $187,000
