Position: Senior Specialist External Communications Maghreb

We are looking for an experienced Senior Specialist External Communications based in Tunisia. A college/university degree (preferably in Communication or Political Science) and a minimum of 5–10 years of professional experience in PR, Media, or Digital campaigns (especially in highly regulated industries) is required, together with excellent command of English, French, and Arabic. Candidate should be a team player, have project management skills, and demonstrate agile ways of working.


RISE TO THE CHALLENGE
You will be part of the External Communications team of “Philip Morris Maghreb” and will report to the Manager External Communications Maghreb.

For this position, we expect you to have strategic & creative leadership skills. You will take on delegated responsibility for driving PMI Maghreb’s External Communications and Media Strategy, building and enhancing the company's credibility and reputation within the external media landscape through paid, earned, and owned media, events, digital campaigns, and engagements.


More specifically you will:

  • Develop strategic media communication campaigns to engage regulators, key opinion leaders, and the general public on specific topics of interest.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to internal and external partners involved in media campaigns, including senior stakeholders, on executing media engagement and public relations activities.
  • Consult on developing localized and customized communication content and briefs including press releases, opinion pieces, speeches, and event-related materials.
  • Assist with digital campaigns involving paid, earned, and owned channels while ensuring a close follow-up of digital KPIs and messages.
  • Track and analyze media coverage on key topics of interest daily.

Requirements:

  • College/university degree preferably in Communication or Political Science
  • Minimum 5–10 years’ experience in PR / Media / Digital campaigns, preferably in highly regulated industries
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with relevant external stakeholders across the media landscape
  • Excellent written and oral communication in Arabic, French, and English
  • Understanding of digital campaigns setup and measurement (KPIs, Message testing)
  • Ability to work in a highly challenging environment
  • Ability to travel 15–20% of time
