Description: The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a large team that is accountable for collecting, warehousing, organizing, securing, and making available data in the organization’s central database. Data architecture, engineering, management and governance compromise the streams that this position will oversee and coordinate to meet the evolving needs of a multi-channel, multi-category business. This position will work alongside key analytics professionals as part of a broader Data Insights & Analytics team. Handling relationships with external partners supplying data, global/local IT system teams, data management vendors and analytical teams who use the database will be critical in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a large team of data management professionals to coordinate their efforts and provide motivation to improve and increase the value of the central database
- Prioritize the development of the database with external vendors, internal resources and key partners – new data sources, improving data quality, new pipelines and solutions for data users
- Work with IT and vendors to optimize database technology and performance
- Oversee the intake process of data sources with IT, external partners, analytical users, and key business stakeholders
- Oversee the warehousing of data and ensure data architecture meets standards, policies, and technical needs of the business.
- Oversee the collaboration with Dashboard teams, Data Scientists, and Business Analysts to understand their requirements and deliver solutions to support their needs
- Oversee the planning, implementation and ambassadorship of Data Governance practices in the organization
- Ensure technical knowledge is documented and updated regularly from end-to-end data collection, storage and usage
Required Skills:
- Experience in leading a group of data professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of data processing concepts and methods.
- Hands-on experience in implementing solutions, rules, and processes to enhance data quality.
- Familiarity with Data Engineering tools and technology (Snowflake, Matillion, dbt, Amazon AWS, etc)
- Understanding of business processes related to data creation, management, and usage.
- Familiarity with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering or similar roles
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
- Familiarity with data ingestion, data governance, master data management, and related best practices to ensure data quality and compliance.
- Experience in domains such as Finance, Consumer, Commercial, P&C, Supply Chain, Product, and Life Sciences.
- System knowledge in Salesforce, DCE (Digital Consumer Engagement), ERP, and Finance Systems.

For this position the annual salary is $160,360
