Job Description

The Role

The Senior FP&A Manager serves as a strategic finance business partner, providing financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and decision support to business functions and leadership. Acting as the primary finance contact for internal stakeholders, the role drives accurate financial forecasts, delivers actionable insights, supports budgeting processes, and prepares management reporting to enable business growth and effective decision-making.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting activities to support business objectives and strategic priorities.
  • Serve as the primary finance contact for business users, providing financial guidance and support for day-to-day operations, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Analyze and consolidate budget data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reasonability across business functions, account groups, and management reporting structures.
  • Develop financial models, scenario analyses, and ad hoc business cases to support management decision-making and business growth initiatives.
  • Monitor actual financial performance against budget assumptions, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize resource allocation and spending efficiency.
  • Conduct financial and operational analyses to improve business performance, process effectiveness, and cost efficiency.
  • Prepare financial reports, analyses, and presentations in line with PMI and local management requirements during budget cycles, forecast updates, and month-end close activities.
  • Build strong cross-functional partnerships and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to influence decisions and drive business results.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within multinational FMCG, pharmaceutical, or similarly complex organizations.
  • Previous team management experience.
  • Strong financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical capabilities.
  • Proven ability to develop financial models, business insights, and decision-support analyses.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong business partnering mindset with the ability to build effective relationships across functions.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • University degree required.
  • Fluent Japanese and English communication skills.
