  • Provide clear, risk-based advice on anti-bribery and anti-corruption, conflicts of interest, third-party risk, Speak-Up matters, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training and awareness activities to strengthen a speak-up culture and ethical decision-making.
  • Conduct or oversee compliance investigations, ensure professional and confidential handling of allegations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Report on key risks, trends, program effectiveness, and performance indicators.
  • Build trusted relationships, coach business leaders and employees, and contribute to local, regional, and global compliance projects.

What We Are Looking For

Education and qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Compliance, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification in compliance, legal, audit, or risk management is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in Compliance, Legal, Internal Controls, Risk Management, Audit, or a related function, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • Proven experience managing compliance programs, risk assessments, investigations, monitoring, advisory work, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience in regulated industries and working with regulatory requirements is preferred.

Skills and capabilities

  • Strong knowledge of ethics and compliance programs, including ABAC, governance, risk assessment, investigations, and advisory work.
  • High integrity, sound judgment, analytical thinking, and a practical approach to business challenges.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, influencing, project management, and data-driven decision-making skills.

Language Requirements

  • Fluent in Japanese and English, both written and spoken.

Why join us

  • Join a purpose-led transformation focused on building a smoke-free future.
  • Make a meaningful impact on ethical decision-making, risk management, and business integrity.
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and global teams in a dynamic multinational environment.

Who will thrive in this role

  • A trusted advisor and pragmatic problem-solver who can manage complex compliance matters independently.
  • A collaborative leader and role model for integrity, accountability, and ethical decision-making.
