Purpose of the Position:

The Touchpoint Strategy & Activation team drives seamless, omni‑channel experiences for legal‑age adult consumers by optimizing direct offline touchpoints throughout their smoke‑free journey. In close collaboration with the Direct Channel team and cross‑functional partners (e.g., Consumer Experience, Marketing), the team develops and executes holistic touchpoint strategies aligned with business objectives.

In this role, you will own the end‑to‑end activation of an assigned consumer touchpoint, serving as the primary point of contact and leading cross‑functional collaboration to maximize performance and consumer impact. Reporting to the Manager, Touchpoint Activation, you will partner closely with channel teams to unlock the full potential of the touchpoint. You will also contribute to defined strategic initiatives beyond your assigned touchpoint, within a specific scope.

 

 

Accountabilities

  • Develop and execute the roll‑out strategy and deployment plan for an assigned consumer touchpoint, including messaging and engagement content, in close collaboration with the Direct Channel team (teams responsible for direct consumer engagement channels) and cross‑functional stakeholders, leveraging insights from legal‑age adult consumers and channel teams.
  • Develop, produce, and deliver touchpoint materials and tools (e.g., fixtures, visual merchandising, communication materials, engagement content, uniforms, selling tools), ensuring alignment with the overall concept and marketing toolkits.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet defined execution standards, continuously raising the quality bar to enhance the consumer experience.
  • Ensure all activations and content comply with PMI codes, legal requirements, and local regulations, working closely with Legal and External Affairs teams.
  • Identify and explore innovative solutions and technologies to unlock the full potential of the assigned touchpoint.
  • Manage and coordinate external agencies involved in strategy development and deployment.
  • Monitor and evaluate deployment performance using qualitative and quantitative insights, embedding a continuous improvement and learning cycle.
  • Manage and maintain touchpoint‑specific assets throughout their lifecycle.

 

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Native‑level Japanese and business‑fluent English
  • Strong business acumen with strategic and structured thinking
  • Experience in large, complex, matrix organizations and cross‑functional environments
  • Proven ability to work effectively with diverse, multicultural teams and stakeholders
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity
  • Fast, solution‑oriented problem solver with a track record of delivering results
  • Solid project management experience across internal and external partners
  • Fundamental understanding of brand strategy and consumer journey, including commercialization and deployment
  • Experience operating within PMJ / PMI organizations (Philip Morris Japan / Philip Morris International) or similarly regulated environments
