Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Assistant Manager for Digital Analytics to take care of our digital-centric analytics initiatives. This role will be responsible for driving insights across digital activation and sales forecasting and performance, consumer behavior in digital, and digital campaign effectiveness. The ideal candidate will bring a strong analytical mindset, hands-on technical skills, and a collaborative spirit to influence business decisions and optimize digital performance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Digital Analytics Roadmap and drive
    Lead the development and execution of digital analytics strategies, with a focus on consumer engagement, loyalty behaviors, and lifecycle progression across digital touchpoints.

 

  • Online User Journey Analysis
    Analyze user behavior across digital touchpoints to identify friction points, conversion opportunities, and repeat participation drivers, and longterm engagement and loyalty trends.

 

  • Digital Campaign and Channel Performance Reporting
    Deliver comprehensive performance reports for digital channels activation (paid media, CRM, UI/UX, SEO) on regular cadence. Develop reports for digital-initiated and digital-participated campaigns (e.g., web-based campaign), integrating data from paid, earned, and owned media.

 

  • Digital Initiatives Enablement

Work with digital planners to build digital strategies and contextualize digital initiatives. Provide data proof and benchmarks for business hypothesis from the planners to solidify the initiative logic. Track the performance after the implementation of digital initiatives and provide improvement plans.

 

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    Partner with marketing, CX, portfolio, and IT teams to align analytics efforts with business goals and ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management
    Manage relationships with external analytics vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of insights and reporting.

 

  • Data Governance & Quality
    Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across platforms and reporting tools.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Minimum 7 years of experience in digital analytics, preferably in a consumer-facing or eCommerce environment. Proven experience in analyzing digital engagement performance and integrating insights across digital channels.

 

  • Technical Skills:
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and storytelling.
    • Working knowledge of SQL for querying and transforming data.
    • Hands-on experience with Google Analytics (GA4 preferred).
    • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
    • Fluency in Japanese and English

 

  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong business acumen and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams and external vendors.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a regional or global role with exposure to diverse digital ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of customer data platforms (CDPs), tag management systems, or marketing automation tools.
  • Familiarity with privacy regulations and data compliance in digital analytics.
  • Japan market experience
