As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with affiliate, regional, and central legal, ethics & compliance teams, as well as KZ & CAS management, to deliver timely, business-focused legal advice. You will support the Senior Counsel in implementing departmental strategies and ensuring legal compliance aligned with PMI’s values and regulatory requirements.
This role requires a seasoned legal professional with strong judgment, integrity, and a collaborative mindset. You will be a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping to shape decisions and drive strategic initiatives
- Provide proactive legal analysis, advice, and documentation across diverse business initiatives.
- Partner with internal and external team members to handle legal risk and ensure compliance.
- Represent PMI in negotiations and before government agencies and courts.
- Draft and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including IP, technology, and distribution contracts.
- Monitor and respond to legislative and regulatory developments in the region.
- Support strategic decision-making through clear, practical legal guidance.
- Foster a culture of dignity, respect, and inclusion within the legal function and broader organization.
Who we're looking for:
- Qualified attorney with strong experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law.
- Shown ability to lead complex legal matters and communicate effectively with diverse partners.
- Strategic problem solver with a consumer-focused approach and business insight.
- Skilled in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex agreements.
- Experience working in a multinational environment is a plus.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Russian or local languages is preferable.
- Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, and ethical standards.
