Role Overview
As a Product Services Engineer, you will lead and execute new product launches, product modifications, packaging changes, and productivity projects across manufacturing operations. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality, regulatory, and operational requirements while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
• Lead the implementation of new and modified products within the factory.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Production, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Planning, Product Development, and
Commercialization.
• Manage production trials, product specifications, and project timelines.
• Prepare project reports and oversee first production runs to ensure successful execution.
Feasibility & Product Readiness
• Conduct feasibility assessments to validate factory capabilities and production readiness.
• Identify and mitigate risks that may impact project scope or timelines.
• Coordinate procurement of required materials and equipment to support project implementation.
Quality & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Quality standards.
• Support product-related regulatory submissions and engagements with authorities.
• Apply quality tools, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Continuous Improvement
• Drive initiatives that improve cost, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Analyze product and material complexity and recommend standardization opportunities.
• Participate in improvement projects and post-launch assessments to optimize performance.
Supply Chain & Stakeholder Management
• Provide project plans and product information to Production and Supply Chain teams.
• Escalate and resolve material availability issues impacting project delivery.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
• Master’s degree in chemistry, Engineering or equivalent (or corresponding skills through demonstrated experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Product Development, Product Services, or Manufacturing within tobacco, food, pharmaceutical, FMCG, or similar industries.
• Fluent in English and local language.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of ISO, GMP, quality systems, and regulatory requirements is preferred.
• Experience in root-cause analysis, process improvement, and quality tools is highly desirable.
