About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Data Analyst to become part of our Data Services team. This role requires someone with exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and extensive experience in both data analysis and gathering data requirements. The successful candidate should be adept at collaborating across business and technology functions, demonstrating solid technical proficiency through hands-on involvement with data profiling, data mapping, and supporting data validation processes. Moreover, a thorough grasp of agile methodologies is crucial for success in our fast-paced and evolving environment.
Your 'day to day':
- Perform comprehensive data profiling to assess data consistency, completeness, uniqueness, and validity.
- Produce detailed profiling reports and communicate findings with data architect, data engineers, SMEs, and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data governance teams to define and create DQ rules across key dimensions such as accuracy, timeliness, validity, anomaly detection, and uniqueness.
- Create end‑to‑end source-to-target mapping for ingestion, transformation, and delivery layers.
- Work closely with data architect, data engineers to validate mapping logic, transformations, and business semantics.
- Ensure metadata completeness (column definitions, tags, PII classification, confidentiality levels) and consistency across source systems and target data models.
- Create SQL‑based test queries to validate data transformations, mappings, business rules, and integration points.
- Document test evidence, summarize results, and ensure all approvals are captured in project artifacts.
- Partner with data engineers, data modelers, architects, and domain SMEs to deliver high‑quality data solutions.
- Support data governance teams by providing inputs for classification, lineage enrichment, and metadata catalog updates.
Who we're looking for:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, Data Quality Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong SQL skills for profiling, testing, and data validation across large distributed data sets.
- Prefer experience resource with Snowflake experience, Python and/or any scripting languages
- Experience with data quality tools, profiling frameworks, and metadata/catalog platforms (e.g., Atlan, Data Quality Monitoring, etc.).
- Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling concepts, and enterprise data architectures.
- Prior experience creating source‑to‑target mappings and data transformation specifications.
- Strong technical, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Fluent in English.
Annual Base Salary Range: $104,000-$130,000
