The Payroll Specialist supports end-to-end payroll operations in a large, complex, multi-entity environment for a publicly traded global organization. This role ensures accurate and timely payroll processing across multiple pay groups and systems, performing validations, reconciliations, and compliance activities. The position partners cross-functionally to resolve issues, analyze discrepancies, and drive continuous improvements in payroll accuracy, controls, and efficiency.
Your ‘day to day’:
- Process and validate payroll transactions (hires, terminations, changes, bonuses, off-cycle payments)
- Support weekly and bi-weekly payroll cycles across multiple entities and pay groups
- Execute payroll controls, including gross-to-net reviews, variance analysis, and audits
- Perform payroll balancing, reconciliations, and data validation prior to finalization
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries
- Analyze payroll data trends and perform root cause analysis on recurring issues
- Generate reports and support payroll accounting and reconciliation activities
- Assist with payroll tax support, including inquiries, notices, and adjustments
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, and external vendors on payroll operations
- Participate in system testing, enhancements, and process improvement initiatives
Who we’re looking for:
- 3–5 years of payroll experience in complex, high-volume environments (3,000+ employees)
- Experience working within a publicly traded company environment
- Hands-on experience with ADP enterprise payroll platforms
- Experience managing multi-entity payrolls with multiple pay groups and frequencies
- Experience with SuccessFactors and timekeeping systems (e.g., UKG, Kronos, or ADP WFM)
- Strong knowledge of payroll controls, reconciliations, audits, and compliance requirements; advanced Excel skills
What’s ‘nice to have’:
- Experience in a global organization
- Background in payroll system implementations, migrations, or transformations
- Exposure to SOX controls, payroll audits, or financial controls
- CPP certification or experience with tools such as ServiceNow, SharePoint, or SAP
Annual Base Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000
