As part of this bold transformation, we’re looking for a Portfolio Manager (Marketing) to join our team in Taipei, supporting our Smoke-Free Products portfolio across devices and consumables.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead portfolio planning and execution, translate consumer and market insights into growth strategies, and drive product initiatives that support PMI’s short- and long-term business objectives in Taiwan.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of SFP portfolio initiatives to drive sustainable growth and strengthen market leadership.
- Translate market trends, competitive insights, and LANU needs into clear portfolio strategies that support business objectives, including volume, market share, and profitable growth.
- Develop annual portfolio execution plans, integrating trade engagement programs and activities to support brand equity, volume performance, and LANU share growth.
- Define portfolio opportunities and challenges through comprehensive analysis of the market, competitors, and consumer needs.
- Develop the Original Budget and Long-Range Plan for Taiwan’s SFP portfolio, including devices and consumables.
- Lead end-to-end product initiatives, including concept proposal preparation and stage gate approvals such as RPC and CPC, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with Corporate Affairs to support government approval requirements and regulatory processes.
- Ensure timely delivery of product initiatives and support market implementation of approved promotional platforms in line with global brand strategies and positioning.
- Drive product initiatives and contribute to trade engagement strategies in accordance with operating frameworks and regional guidelines.
- Own and manage the Device & Consumables marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation, deployment, and tracking of resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and effectiveness, reallocating resources as needed to reflect changing business dynamics.
- Leverage internal networks and cross-functional expertise across local and regional teams to strengthen portfolio deployment and execution.
- Ensure all portfolio toolboxes, activities, and business partner engagements comply with Taiwan regulations, EA assessment, PMI Marketing Code, and Business Conduct Principles & Practices.
- Build local organizational capabilities by fostering collaboration, continuous improvement, and individual skill development in line with PMI’s commercial framework.
Who We’re Looking For
- University graduate, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
- 8+ years of experience in Marketing, Trade Marketing, Product Management, or a related area.
- Experience in FMCG is preferred; multinational company experience would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of portfolio strategy, product initiatives, and marketing execution.
- Solid analytical capability, with the ability to turn market, consumer, and business insights into actionable plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence solutions.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to operate with limited guidance, develop strategies and plans, and execute initiatives end-to-end with quality.
