Distribution Planning Manager
We are seeking a Distribution Planning Manager to lead Route‑To‑Market (RTM) analysis, distribution performance tracking, and operational optimisation across channels. This role plays a critical part in strengthening execution alignment, cost efficiency, and distributor performance, while ensuring strong governance and data-driven decision-making.
About the Role
As Distribution Planning Manager, you will be responsible for analysing and optimising the RTM model, tracking distribution performance, and working closely with field execution, trade activation, and demand planning teams. You will provide clear insights on coverage, availability, costs, and execution gaps, supporting continuous improvement across distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
RTM Analysis, Optimisation & Governance
- Analyse and support the continuous optimisation of the Route‑To‑Market (RTM) model across CC and P1 channels
- Monitor distributor performance, outlet-level losses, and key sales indicators (KSI) to identify gaps and opportunities
- Conduct cost-to-serve and scenario analysis to assess service level, margin, and operational impact
- Ensure accuracy and governance of RTM-related data and support SOP and claim process enhancements
- Design and deliver weekly and monthly RTM dashboards with actionable insights
Cycle Planning & Commercial Execution Alignment
- Coordinate with Trade Activation, National Field Sales, and Demand Planning teams to support cycle execution
- Translate commercial priorities into distribution and execution action plans
- Track performance versus targets, forecasts, and budgets across distributors and territory structures
Field Force Operations & Execution Support
- Support territory and route planning analysis to improve productivity, coverage, and call efficiency
- Monitor execution KPIs such as calls per day, hit rate, route compliance, availability, and OOS performance
- Track execution standards at outlet level, including planograms, displays, and share of shelf
- Highlight execution risks and support corrective action follow-up
Cost, Budget & Compliance Management
- Track distribution operating costs, incentives, losses, and accruals versus budget
- Prepare variance analysis, break-even, and drop-size evaluations
- Support audits and compliance checks related to pricing, POSM usage, and policies
- Monitor follow-up actions on risks, losses, and efficiency initiatives
Distributor Performance & Partner Management
- Support distributor performance management through reporting, analysis, and coordination
- Prepare materials for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews (MBRs/QBRs)
- Monitor sell-in / sell-out trends, inventory levels, claims, returns, and payment discipline
- Support capability-building initiatives through tracking and performance reporting
About You
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related discipline
- 7+ years’ experience in distribution planning, supply chain, sales operations, or logistics-heavy commercial roles
- Strong analytical capability with experience turning data into operational and commercial insights
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office and local sales/distribution systems
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder and distributor management skills
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a complex execution environment
- English proficiency (spoken and written) preferred
