By joining our Commercial Team as a Business Building Executive, you’ll play a key role in accelerating growth across General Trade (GT) channels, strengthening our partnerships with wholesalers and retailers, and driving sustainable commercial success on the ground.
Your ‘day to day’:
As a Business Building Executive, you’ll be the commercial ambassador of PMI within your assigned GT territory—working hand in hand with wholesalers and retailers to unlock growth opportunities, optimize distribution, and deliver strong commercial results while putting the consumer at the core of everything you do.
Sales & Distribution Execution
- Deliver agreed sales targets across assigned wholesalers and GT retailers.
- Co-develop business plans with wholesalers, leveraging their resources to optimize key commercial drivers including visibility, availability, pricing, and retail advocacy.
- Execute trade and incentive programs effectively to maximize product availability and volume growth at wholesaler and retailer levels.
- Provide high-quality training to wholesaler sales representatives on PMI’s brand portfolio and in-call execution to drive sales excellence.
Territory & Account Management
- Develop a deep understanding of your territory’s retail universe and actively build business with priority stores.
- Identify opportunities to improve coverage and distribution through wholesaler sales force analysis and continuous territory optimization.
- Capture market and consumer insights and proactively feed them back to management, commercial planning, and field sales teams.
Market Intelligence & Reporting
- Monitor pricing, competitive activities, and market dynamics across wholesalers, sub‑wholesalers, and retailers.
- Ensure accurate, consistent, and high-quality data reporting on wholesaler sales volumes and stock levels through regular validation and audits.
- Translate data and insights into actionable recommendations to support informed business decisions.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all engagement with wholesalers and retailers fully complies with PMT policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Who we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Sales function, preferably within FMCG, with exposure to distribution and/or wholesale management.
- Strong stakeholder and partner management skills—able to balance relationship building with commercial performance.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for results and a passion for identifying untapped business opportunities.
- Solid business acumen with a deep understanding of market and territory dynamics, paired with the ability to act decisively and move fast.
- Strong interpersonal skills, able to influence and collaborate with diverse internal teams and external partners.
