Role Overview
The Regional Head of Supply Chain Planning leads the end‑to‑end planning strategy, performance, and transformation agenda for PMI’s Region 1 within the Operations Customer Service (OCS) organization. This role is responsible for driving regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP), strengthening market planning capabilities, deploying advanced planning digital tools (including o9) and ensuring seamless alignment with global category planning teams.
The role will champion planning excellence across demand, supply, inventory, portfolio changes, and business continuity—ensuring Region 1 consistently delivers best‑in‑class service levels, optimized inventory/cash performance, and planning-driven business value.
Key Responsibilities
1. Regional Integrated Business Planning Leadership
Own and lead the Regional IBP Process, ensuring full alignment with global standards, market cycles, and functional partners.
Drive IBP maturity advancement across market planning organizations to achieve end‑to‑end cross-functional integration and decision-making discipline.
Provide strategic visibility to senior regional stakeholders on risks, scenarios, and opportunities.
2. Category Leadership – Regional Deployment of Global Planning Initiatives
Act as the Regional Category Lead, representing Region 1 in global category planning forums.
Translate global category strategies into regional implementation roadmaps and ensure market-level adoption.
Lead cross‑functional collaboration with Global Category Planning and local market planning teams to execute portfolio transitions, category strategies, and NPI rollouts.
3. Deployment of Advanced Planning Tools (o9) & Integrated Forecasting
Lead the regional deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of o9 and the full suite of advanced planning digital capabilities.
Ensure the region fully implements and stabilizes the integrated forecast and plan global process, maintaining data discipline, model accuracy, and governance.
Partner with global and IT teams to identify planning digital gaps and drive enhancements.
4. End-to-End Supply Chain Planning Transformation
Lead and own the regional transformation roadmap across all planning domains, including:
Demand generation & forecasting, Supply planning & capacity synchronization, Phase-in/Phase-out (PIPO) management, Leftover/SLOB management, Inventory optimization, Category & portfolio lifecycle management and more
Drive the shift from traditional planning to a digitized, analytics-driven operating model. Enable markets to implement standardized best practices and planning governance.
5. IBP and Planning Maturity Development
Assess regional and market-level planning maturity and define continuous improvement programs.
Build capability development programs for planners across markets, focusing on analytical skills, scenario planning, and decision support.
Partner with market leadership to foster planning excellence and drive a culture of forward‑looking risk and opportunity management.
6. KPI Ownership and Performance Management
Own and improve regional performance across critical supply chain KPIs:
Customer Service Level (CSL), Inventory & Working Capital (Cash), SLOBs / Waste / Write-offs, Planning quality KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, adherence), Employee Engagement for the regional planning community
Drive cross-functional governance to address gaps and ensure corrective actions.
Experience & Background
Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management within multinational organizations, with exposure to multiple country setups.
Strong and proven expertise in both market and regional demand & supply planning leadership roles.
Demonstrated track record in advanced planning tools implementation and usage; experience with o9 is highly preferred.
End-to-end supply chain transformation experience is mandatory, including operating model redesign, process standardization, and digital enablement.
Experience leading complex portfolio transitions, SLOB reduction programs, inventory optimization, and IBP process deployment is a strong advantage.
