Role Summary 

As Manager, Data Governance, you will play a key leadership role in enabling the organization to treat data as a trusted, consistent, and secure strategic asset. You will act as a connector between business and technology and promote strong data governance practices across the Nordic region. You will ensure they align with enterprise standards and meet local business needs. 

 

In this role, you will drive the change to a results-focused data approach. You will encourage collaborators to own data assets and assist them with understanding and applying governance frameworks. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that data is defined, managed, and used in a way that creates value, supports decision-making, and strengthens compliance. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Drive the adoption of data governance frameworks across the Nordic organization, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards 
  • Act as a trusted partner to business and IT stakeholders to align data definitions, processes, and technical implementation 
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve data definition conflicts and ensure consistency across markets 
  • Establish and maintain clear data ownership, accountability, and governance structures 
  • Facilitate governance forums and decision-making processes to prioritize and resolve data-related topics 
  • Promote a culture of data ownership and quality through training, communication, and stakeholder engagement 
  • Monitor and report on data quality, governance maturity, and adoption of standards 
  • Identify gaps in policies or standards and drive continuous improvement and value creation through data governance initiatives. 

 

Who You Are 

  • You bring at least 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, analytics, or a related field 
  • You have a strong understanding of business processes and how data supports decision-making across functions 
  • You are comfortable navigating complex topics (e.g. data architecture, data quality, data privacy) and translating them into clear, practical guidance 
  • You are a structured and proactive collaborator with strong stakeholder management and influencing skills 
  • You enjoy working in cross-functional, international environments and building alignment across diverse perspectives 
  • You are a strong communicator, fluent in English (Swedish is considered a plus)
