Role summary
The Brand Manager for the Snus category will be responsible for:
- Project manage portfolio projects through the Portfolio deployment/commercialization process.
- Contribute to defining the product portfolio roadmap for Snus in the markets and drive all relevant Portfolio Plans and developments to deliver category growth and profitability targets in alignment with the Snus Category Team and markets.
- Analyse the Nordic markets and consumer segments to make sure that key needs are clearly articulated and gathered within the portfolio plan.
- Monitor the development of the portfolio in the market and competition product launches closely and propose portfolio changes to keep the Snus portfolio competitive.
- Support execution of portfolio pricing in line with general pricing guidelines from the Snus Category team.
Your “day to day"
• Contribute to the business performance of the Snus Category, including responsibility for the category P&L in the cluster, Net Operating Revenue (including volume / mix and pricing) and Share of Market.
• Lead and manage assigned Snus Portfolio projects in line with deployment/commercialization Process (Blast, simplified Blast, RPC/CPC or similar).
• Support Manager Portfolio in the development of the Snus Product Portfolio Plan, coordination, alignment and co-develop with markets, and integrate in the market’s deployment strategies, following trade windows and market regulatory framework.
• Based on Product portfolio plan and Brand prioritization (from Snus Category and Brand Strategy team) prepare SKU Priority list, planogram input etc. needed to secure market execution of Portfolio Plan.
• Keep track of portfolio performance for all markets and share insights with collaborators. Propose corrective actions in the portfolio if needed.
• Conduct detailed analysis of market and competitive landscape to identify portfolio business opportunities and issues and collaborate with Snus Category & Brand strategy team and Markets to propose products that drive competitive advantage.
• Support Manager Portfolio with material for S&OP and market alignment to secure forecasts and product availability.
• Participate in the Long-Range-Plans (LRP) development in terms of Portfolio development to address major business opportunities/issues identified through analysis. Feed into Original Budget / Long Range Plan (OB/LRP) from portfolio perspective.
• Monitor market execution of Pricing Strategy/guidelines and suggest relevant actions to Portfolio Manager.
• Handle all relevant internal Product Management tools and systems in line with set processes.
• Manage and develop efficient working relationship with collaborators and internal/external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with legal environment, policies and guidelines.
• Lead and run other assigned key strategic initiatives and projects.
Who you are
• Minimum +5-6 years in Marketing, preferably in FMCG in an international environment
• University degree in Marketing, business economics or similar.
• Documented experience of having successfully worked with product portfolio strategies and innovation.
• Confirmed experience of excellent project management skills; structured, self-driven working style and validated knowledge of effective informal leadership
• Excellent stakeholder management and experience of creating cross-functional success.
• Very good strategic height and analytical ability but can work with details when required.
• Experience of successfully redefining strategic insights into actionable marketing strategies, creative and commercial initiatives, innovative product concepts.
• Experience of managing budget including financial understanding and P&L responsibility.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (incl English)
• Experience of collaboration with external agency partners.
