About the Role:
As a Technical Lead in the Federated Data Platform (FDP) team, you will drive the technical execution of platform capabilities, ensuring architectural integrity, operational excellence, and team alignment. You will lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and cost-efficient data infrastructure and services that support data ingestion, transformation, observability, and self-service provisioning across global business units.
Your ‘day to day’:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of FDP services including ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and observability.
- Guide the team in implementing and maintaining tools such as Matillion, Snowflake, Power BI, DBT, Wherescape, and Bitbucket integrations.
- Oversee integration with enterprise platforms like DEEP, DS Lite, Data Service Hub (DSH), and Atlan.
- Ensure secure and compliant data operations through IAM, secret management, and backup/restore capabilities.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, and stakeholders to align on roadmap priorities and technical direction.
- Mentor engineers and promote best practices in CI/CD, testing, and DevOps.
- Monitor platform performance and lead incident resolution and root cause analysis.
- Contribute to platform governance, cost optimization (FinOps), and observability reporting.
Who we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience leading technical teams in data platform or infrastructure environments.
- Strong expertise in cloud-native data platforms, ETL orchestration, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with Matillion, Snowflake, Power BI, DBT, and Bitbucket.
- Familiarity with data mesh or federated architecture principles.
- Strong understanding of data security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with Atlan, DEEP, DS Lite, or Data Service Hub integrations.
- Knowledge of observability frameworks, FinOps practices, and 24x7 platform operations.
- Prior involvement in platform steerco, RFP processes, or infrastructure migrations.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Annual Base Salary Range: $99,000 - $132,000
