Your ‘day to day’:

This role sits at the center of enterprise growth strategy, owning the "big picture" view of consumer performance, portfolio architecture, and future growth opportunities. The Sr. Manager will translate cultural, consumer, and category understanding into sharp, actionable strategies that shape long-range planning, performance prioritization, and portfolio evolution, while ensuring strategic thinking is brought to life across the business. Acting as both a strategic planning leader and cross-functional operator, this role drives alignment across Brand, Innovation, Commercial, Finance, and Strategy teams, enabling stronger creative and commercial decisions and a future-focused view on where growth will come from and how to unlock it.

  • Lead performance landscape and portfolio strategy, transforming complex consumer, cultural, category, and market understanding into clear growth frameworks and compelling strategic narratives.

  • Own consumer segmentation and performance space strategies, ensuring insights are actionable and embedded into annual and long-range business planning.

  • Synthesize diverse inputs including consumer understanding, cultural signals, category trends, competitive intelligence, and macroeconomic forces into a clear point of view that helps the organization anticipate future opportunities and challenges.

  • Leverage quantitative and qualitative data, research, and market intelligence to uncover insights that drive consumer relevance, stronger brand connections, and business growth.

  • Frame and answer the most important strategic questions facing the business, proactively identifying emerging opportunities and risks.

  • Track evolving consumer behaviors, cultural shifts, and marketplace dynamics to provide forward-looking category and growth foresight.

  • Identify and activate value from existing research, data assets, and strategic work, translating underutilized insights into impactful business strategies.

  • Develop compelling executive-level narratives, frameworks, and presentations that shape leadership thinking and help foster a consumer-centric mindset across the organization.

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the VP, helping align the broader Insights organization and key stakeholders around growth priorities, future ambitions, and strategic initiatives.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Commutable distance to Stamford, CT.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, strategy consulting, or agency planning background preferred.

  • 8+ years of experience in consumer insights, strategy, or consulting, ideally within CPG or a consumer-driven or regulated industry.

  • Deep expertise in consumer segmentation, performance spaces, portfolio strategy, and growth planning, with a proven track record of turning insights into strategies that drive action and results.

  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to synthesize complex and sometimes conflicting information into clear, actionable recommendations while managing multiple priorities and workstreams.

  • Sharp analytical instincts with experience leveraging diverse sources of consumer, cultural, and business understanding to uncover meaningful opportunities.

  • Exceptional storytelling, presentation, and executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complexity, build alignment without direct authority, and influence senior stakeholders.

Annual Base Salary Range: $176,000- $220,000

What we offer:

  • We offer a competitive base salary, annual bonus (applicable based on level of position), great medical, dental and vision coverage, 401k with a generous company match, incredible wellness benefits, commuter benefits, pet insurance, generous PTO, and much more!

  • We have implemented Smart Work, a hybrid model of working that promotes flexibility in the workplace.

  • Seize the freedom to define your future and ours. We’ll empower you to take risks, experiment and explore.

  • Be part of an inclusive, diverse culture where everyone’s contribution is respected; Collaborate with some of the world’s best people and feel like you belong.

  • Pursue your ambitions and develop your skills with a global business – our staggering size and scale provides endless opportunities to progress.

  • Take pride in delivering our promise to society: To improve the lives of millions of smokers
