Position Overview:

Lead U.S. tax accounting and reporting activities for PMI's U.S. and Swedish Match U.S. entities. Ensure accurate ASC 740 tax accounting, support significant transactions and legislative changes, maintain strong controls and governance, and proactively manage tax risks and exposures.

 

Your Day to Day:

Tax Accounting & Reporting:

  • Lead quarterly and annual U.S. federal and state tax provision calculations and SOX documentation.
  • Utilize accounting and tax technology tools to drive efficiencies.
  • Review tax-related P&L, balance sheet reconciliations, and book-to-tax adjustments.
  • Monitor tax law developments and assess business impacts.
  • Provide technical tax accounting support on transactions and special projects.

Tax Compliance & Risk:

  • Support federal and state tax return processes and return-to-provision adjustments.
    Assist with estimated tax calculations.
  • Support IRS and state audits, uncertain tax positions, and transaction-related tax research.

 

Who we're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of U.S. tax accounting/reporting experience.
  • Strong ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience with current and deferred tax provisions.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.; fluent in English.

 

What's nice to have:

  • CPA and/or Master's degree.
  • Corptax experience.
  • SOX, audit, risk management, multinational, automation, and transformation experience.

 

Annual Base Salary Range: $150,000 - $187,000
