We are looking for a qualified Paid Media Specialist to join our US Marketing Operations team, helping to launch a new category and brand in the United States.  You will be based in our Philip Morris International offices located in Stamford Connecticut.

Reporting into the US Paid Media Lead, you will have the opportunity to manage the media agency of record, helping to research, plan and manage digital brand campaigns.  This position is perfect for agency talent looking to go client side, as it will require strong digital & strategic knowledge and a go-getter mentality.  With the brand being new in the US, there is a unique opportunity to make a great impact, as you will be responsible for working on the launch of campaigns in a hyper targeted manner, not only for the product, but also the category as a whole. 

Your ‘day to day’:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and ongoing management of paid media strategies.  Engage with agency partners to develop media recommendation and execution of media plans
  • Manage the day to day and collaborate with media agency of record and media partners
  • Determine advanced audience targeting strategies, working with agency partners and global audience team
  • Monitor campaign performance, analyze key metrics, and provide actionable insights to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Provide regular reports and presentations on campaign performance, highlighting successes and areas for improvement
  • A/B test ad creatives, landing pages, and audience segments to identify top-performing variations
  • Lead recommendation of optimizations across digital and offline that will move the business forward
  • Collaborate with the creative team to ensure alignment between ad visuals and messaging
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new advertising platforms to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge
  • Work closely with the larger marketing and media teams, both locally and globally, to align paid media efforts with broader marketing goals and initiatives
  • Identify opportunities for expansion and growth within current campaigns and explore new channels to diversify the media mix
  • Work with Global team to identify and participate in beta opportunities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, being a trusted advisor to other internal teams

 

Who we are looking for

  • Must demonstrate expert understanding of digital marketing communications, media planning and buying across all platforms. 
  • Experience planning strategies for different campaigns, covering full funnel goals
  • Well versed in digital advertising trends, technologies and paid media landscape (DMP, DSP etc.)
  • Excels in planning, activating, managing programmatic campaigns as both self and managed services.  Familiar with latest technology, data providers, and tactics available
  • Must be able to link media delivery and insights to commercial objectives of growing awareness levels, sales, share and profit
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.  Google Analytics experience preferred
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in strategically planning, executing, and optimizing paid digital media campaigns
  • Agency experience a must, preferably working on restricted categories, DTC business or Tech
  • Experience building, analyzing and using Datarama or similar dashboards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare and present recommendations
    Detail-oriented mindset and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • A strategic forward-thinking approach that enables comprehensive planning across various initiatives and business objectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field


Annual Base Salary Range: $88,500 - $118,000
