This position sits with our Swedish Match affiliate.

 

The Manager, Field Sales and Trade Communications is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that empower field sales teams and ensure effective, compliant, and timely trade communications. This role acts as the central hub for all sales and trade-related messaging, ensuring alignment with brand, legal, and compliance standards, and supporting commercial growth through clear, actionable communication to both internal teams and external trade partners.

 

 

Your ‘day to day’:

 

    • Develop and maintain a unified visual and messaging style across all field sales communications.
    • Partner with Brand, Legal, Compliance, and IT to ensure all materials are accurate, on-brand, and compliant.
    • Oversee the creation, review, and approval of sales-related content (videos, presentations, written materials).
    • Manage a centralized library of creative assets and templates for field teams.
    • Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of the Sales Portal as the single source of truth for sales tools, updates, and materials.
    • Gather and act on user feedback to enhance the portal and communication effectiveness
    • Craft and distribute timely, clear updates on price changes, product launches, regulatory changes, and other trade-critical information.
    • Serve as the primary liaison between Sales, Trade Marketing, and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and rapid response to market needs.
    • Lead communication strategy and execution during high-impact situations (e.g., product recalls, regulatory shifts, supply chain disruptions).
    • Develop and maintain contingency communication plans and protocols for crisis scenarios.
    • Collaborate with Sales Training to embed key messaging and tools into onboarding and ongoing training programs.
    • Support field sales teams with communication best practices and tools to drive performance and compliance.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure communication standards are upheld across the organization.
    • Monitor and analyze communication effectiveness, using data to drive continuous improvement.
    • Prepare and deliver reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders, highlighting communication impact and opportunities for enhancement.

Who we’re looking for:

 

 

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field required.
    • 5+ years of experience in field sales, trade marketing, or sales communications within the CPG or FMCG sector.
    • Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects and collaborate with diverse teams
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience crafting clear, actionable messaging for internal and external audiences.
    • Proficiency in digital communication platforms, content management systems, and analytics tools
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, working at a computer, standing.
    • Ability to drive a vehicle and fly on commercial aircraft.
    • Authorized to work in the U.S. now and in the future without need for sponsorship

 

Annual Base Salary Range: $149,000 - $187,000
