Our 10-week summer internship program provides an opportunity to gain new skills at an organization transforming the industry.  Interns support projects that deliver real impact and provide real value to our organization. Interns participate in various professional development and networking activities throughout the summer.   

The anticipated summer internship start date is June 1, 2026.    

The Data Services team is part of US Data Insights and Analytics Organization and is committed to leading the development of cutting-edge data platform and services for PMI & Swedish Match One US. Our focus is on providing engineering services that transform diverse data into well-governed, high-value data assets built on advanced data platforms on the cloud underpinned with security and high quality like Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, Azure based systems. Our mission is to craft innovative solutions that simplify complex data challenges and enable our business users to generate actionable business insights using advanced technologies powered by AI, ML, GenAI, and advanced analytics, establishing us as a premier data services team.

Your ‘day to day’:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines to ingest and transform data from multiple sources for analytics and reporting.
  • Assist the Data Modeler with data analysis, profiling, and classification tagging.
  • Develop and maintain data products, including Snowflake view development.
  • Collaborate with ID&A cross-functional teams, including analytics and reporting, data architects, data engineers, and product owners.
  • Identify and implement data quality rules within pipelines to ensure high-quality final data assets.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI/ML, or related fields during the 2025-2026 school year AND returning to the program after completion of the internship
  • Familiarity with ETL tool, Python, SQL and source code mgmt (Jenkins,bitbucket etc.)
  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Snowflake).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Eagerness to learn, innovate, and contribute to impactful projects.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Fluent in English 

By the end of the internship, you will:

  • Gain hands-one experience building and operationalizing data engineering solutions in enterprise-grade data cloud environments.
  • Understand how to apply  data engineering solution to address business problems, such as master data management, data governance, integrate workflow and streamline data driven task.
  • Learn best practices in data master data management, data governance, integration, data lake, data ingestion and modeling.
  • Collaborate with a global team of experts in data engineering.
 
 

Hourly Base Salary Range: $32-$35/hr
