Your ‘day to day’:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Data Architect to join our Data Services team. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with strategic responsibilities to design and implement robust data architectures that support data modeling and AI/ML initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep technical acumen, experience handling structured and unstructured data, and a strong understanding of industry trends in data architecture, data modeling, and AI/ML
- Design and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models for data platform assets, ensuring they meet business requirements and are optimized for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with solution architects and engineers to create and maintain a robust data architecture that supports data integration, data quality, and data governance.
- Work with data scientists and AI/ML engineers to design and implement data models that support AI/ML initiatives, ensuring seamless integration of AI/ML models into data pipelines and implement explainable AI (XAI) techniques to ensure transparency and trust in designing machine learning models.
- Design database schemas, tables, views, indexes, and other database objects to support data models.
- Work with data engineers to integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data consistency and quality across the data ecosystem.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data models, including data dictionaries, entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), and metadata.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of data models and database queries to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.
- Ensure data models comply with data governance policies and standards, including data privacy and security regulations.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends in data architecture, data modeling, and AI/ML to bring innovation to our solutions. Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team
Who we’re looking for:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Commutable distance to Stamford, CT.
- 7+ years experience in data modeling, including designing conceptual, logical and physical data models and a good understanding of industry and different functional domain data models.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools such as Power Designer, ER/Studio, or similar tools.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with database management systems such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with data integration tools, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts/best practices.
- Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and Scala.
- Experience with AI/ML libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn.
- Profiency in using AWS Sagemaker, Databricks, or similar platforms for large-scale data processing and ML workloads
Annual Base Salary Range: $105,600 - $132,000
