Reporting into the Commercial Capability Development Manager, the Commercial Capability Development Lead plays a central role in the design and execution of future‑fit commercial capability solutions that accelerate performance, strengthen leadership effectiveness, and drive execution excellence. The role is not focused on one‑time training deployment; instead, it contributes to building and sustaining closed‑loop performance systems that diagnose capability gaps, activate targeted interventions, and recalibrate based on real‑world performance outcomes.
Acting as a strategic partner to commercial and operational stakeholders, the role translates business objectives into verticalized capability performance, focused on the roles, moments, and behaviors that matter most. Grounded in adult learning principles and the 70‑20‑10 philosophy, the role embeds learning in the flow of work through coaching, field immersion, and feedback loops, enabling sustained behavioral change, measurable ROI, and a high‑performance commercial culture.
Your ‘day to day’:
- Contribute to the evolution and execution of the U.S. commercial capability roadmap, supporting performance verticals aligned to strategic business outcomes.
- Partner closely with field leadership and commercial teams to observe in‑market execution, capture feedback, and translate real‑world performance challenges into targeted capability interventions.
- Support the definition of capability standards and development journeys for priority commercial roles and leadership layers.
- Partner with commercial leaders to shape and refine capability priorities based on market dynamics, execution gaps, and future needs.
- Design, deploy, and continuously refine onboarding and ongoing development journeys across product, consumer programs, soft skills, technical knowledge, and role‑specific capabilities.
- Embed coaching, feedback, and reinforcement mechanisms to ensure learning translates into observable behavior change in the field.
- Actively challenge “launch‑and‑leave” training models by stewarding sustained capability health over time.
- Establish and support clear success metrics for capability initiatives, linking learning activity to behavioral adoption and commercial performance signals (e.g., engagement, adoption, and in‑market performance).
- Leverage learning data, field insights, and performance indicators to diagnose capability gaps and guide evidence‑based capability decisions.
- Provide senior stakeholders with actionable insights on capability impact, risks, and opportunities.
- Serve as a U.S. point of contact for Global Commercial L&D / Capability, enabling knowledge exchange and alignment while ensuring local relevance.
- Adapt and localize global training and materials to the U.S. market, maintaining fidelity to global standards while optimizing for impact.
- Govern content and deployment through the LMS, ensuring quality, relevance, and scalability.
Who we’re looking for:
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S now and in the future without need for sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years’ experience in commercial capability, learning, enablement, or performance development roles.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating learning and coaching at both group and individual levels.
- Strong capability in instructional design across digital and in‑person formats.
- Experience independently managing an LMS and learning content lifecycle.
- Experience supporting B2B and/or B2C commercial organizations preferred.
- Articulate Storyline and/or Rise 360 experience preferred.
- Experience working within matrixed, global organizations preferred.
