As a Senior Data Scientist, you will drive business growth by developing strategic advanced analytics models based on multi-category data. This role translates complex datasets into actionable insights that inform commercial decisions and unlock new growth opportunities. Working with commercial, marketing, and finance teams to incorporate data science into planning and implementation.

 

Your ‘day to day’:

  • Developing and deploying predictive models that identify growth opportunities across multiple product categories. Applying mathematics, statistics, data mining, predictive and prescriptive modeling techniques to extract valuable information from data.
  • Developing and implementing data science models using specialized programming languages and tools.
  • Performing advanced statistical analyses and derive actionable insights from data.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define data-driven strategies and solutions.
  • Working closely with Data Engineers to ensure data pipelines are optimized for model training and deployment.
  • Staying updated with the latest trends in AI and data science to innovate and improve processes.
  • Presenting findings and insights to interested parties through reports and visualizations.
  • Source, prepare, and clean data for analysis.
  • Identifying, validating, and exploiting internal and external data sets.

 

Who we’re looking for:

  • College or University degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in the field of data analysis or a related position.
  • Proficiency in ML/AI frameworks and big data technologies.
  • Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques.
  • Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
  • Experience with open-source data science tools and libraries.
  • Proficiency in data governance and data management procedures.
  • Desirable - Certifications in AWS/Snowflake or related technologies.
  • Proficiency in Python
  • Proficiency in cloud platforms, specifically Amazon AWS (e.g., S3, EC2, SageMaker).
  • Proficiency in Jupyter, Snowflake, Docker, and Atlassian suite (Bitbucket, JIRA, Confluence).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • High attention to detail, efficiently managing time to balance multiple projects and deadlines.
