YOUR DAY TO DAY

We are seeking a Product Owner who is passionate about designing and delivering best-in-class IT services to a worldwide organisation, relentlessly improving the lives of our customers, and identifying how AI-enabled capabilities can enhance product outcomes, operational efficiency, and user experience.

As a Product Owner in TechOps, you will be responsible for defining and managing the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the domain you are responsible for. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, architects, and other product owners to ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud and digital infrastructure solutions, including opportunities to embed AI, automation, and data-driven capabilities that meet evolving business needs.

To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated, creative and have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges. You must have a strong IT background, with knowledge of Agile product delivery and ownership. Someone who thrives in a challenging environment and can take a leading role in our journey to providing the business with ‘best in breed’ services. Someone who follows through on commitments, takes responsibility and continuously delivers goals and objectives. You should also be comfortable working with emerging AI capabilities, understanding where machine learning, generative AI, and intelligent automation can add value to cloud products and digital infrastructure services.

You are a trained and experienced PO/PM with exceptional knowledge and skills in Product Management disciplines, with the ability to translate complex technical and AI-related concepts into clear priorities, customer value, and executable backlog items.

 

In this role, you'll be expected to:

  • Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders and team members, including a clear view of where AI, automation, and intelligent platform capabilities can create measurable business value.
  • Work closely with partners to identify and understand their needs and translate these into product requirements, including AI-driven opportunities, data dependencies, process automation potential, and responsible adoption considerations.
  • Create and prioritize a product backlog, ensuring the team is working on the highest value features across cloud, platform, and AI-enabled capabilities, with clear sequencing of foundational, operational, and customer-facing improvements.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure they are clearly understood by the development team, engaging and collaborating with Delivery Managers and Solution Architects to achieve success, including for infrastructure automation, observability, and AI-enabled product features.
  • Work closely with the development team throughout the product development process, providing clarification and direction where needed, and helping teams make pragmatic decisions on cloud architecture, automation, and AI implementation approaches.
  • Measure and report on product performance and progress towards strategic goals, using service, adoption, and outcome metrics to assess the impact of cloud, digital infrastructure, and AI-enabled capabilities.
  • Continuously gather feedback from users and partners to inform future product decisions, validate AI use cases, and improve the usability, trust, and effectiveness of delivered capabilities.
  • Investigate industry trends and provide guidance and recommendations to the team and senior management related to supported products, with particular attention to cloud innovation, platform engineering, AI capabilities, and opportunities to simplify operations through automation.

 

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • Experience: 3+ years of recent experience in a Product Owner role with 3+ years working in an agile environment with a strong agile mindset, ideally with exposure to cloud platforms, digital infrastructure products, automation, or AI-enabled service capabilities.
  • Excellent Communication and Management skills. Strong leadership skills, leading through influence
  • Solid understanding of tooling for SRE and digital infrastructure delivery practices, as well as cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with awareness of how AI services, ML platforms, or generative AI capabilities can be applied within enterprise cloud environments.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read architecture diagrams and break down infrastructure work into user stories, with enough technical fluency to work on AI-related requirements such as data flows, model integration points, service dependencies, governance, and operational readiness.
  • AI Skills and Experience: Familiarity with AI and automation concepts, including generative AI, machine learning-enabled features, prompt-driven workflows, or intelligent service automation, and the ability to evaluate use cases, risks, dependencies, and business value in partnership with technical teams.
  • Responsible Delivery Mindset: Understanding of security, compliance, data quality, and operational considerations related to AI-enabled products, with the ability to support responsible rollout, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite and Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)
  • Excellent verbal & written English communication skills
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.
