Your 'day to day' 

 

We are seeking a Product Owner who is passionate about designing and delivering best-in-class IT services to a worldwide organisation, who relentlessly looks at improving the life of our customers.  

As a Product Owner in TechOps, you will be responsible for defining and managing the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the product group you are responsible for. You will work closely with stakeholders, development teams, and other product owners to ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions that meet business needs. 

To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated, creative and have the natural drive to learn and pick up new challenges. You must have a strong IT background, with knowledge of Agile product delivery and ownership. Someone who thrives in a challenging environment and can take a leading role in our journey to providing the business with ‘best in breed’ services. Someone who follows through on commitments, takes responsibility and continuously delivers goals and objectives.  

You are a trained and experienced PO/PM with exceptional knowledge and skills in Product Management disciplines. 

 

In this role, you'll be expected to: 

 

  • Product Vision and Roadmap: Develop and communicate the product vision and roadmap to all relevant stakeholders and team members. 

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to identify and understand their needs and translate these into product requirements. 

  • Backlog Management: Create and prioritize a product backlog, ensuring the team is working on the highest value features. 

  • User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Define user stories and acceptance criteria and ensure they are clearly understood by the development team, engaging and collaborating with Delivery Managers, Solution Architects to achieve success. 

  • Development Support: Work closely with the development team throughout the product development process, providing clarification and direction where needed. 

  • Quality Assurance: Review and accept completed work, ensuring it meets the defined acceptance criteria and overall quality standards. 

  • Performance Measurement: Measure and report on product performance and progress towards strategic goals. 

  • Feedback Gathering: Continuously gather feedback from users and stakeholders to inform future product decisions. 

  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles that may affect the team’s ability to meet project objectives. 

  • Investigate industry trends and provide guidance and recommendations to the team and senior management related to the supported products 

 

Who are we looking for? 

 

  • Experience: 3+ years of recent experience in a Product Owner role with 3+ years working in an agile environment with a strong agile mindset. 

  • Excellent Communication and Stakeholder Management skills 

  • Strong leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues, leading through influence 

  • Cloud Technologies: Strong understanding of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, and GCP. 

  • Technical Skills: Ability to read architecture diagrams and break down infrastructure work into user stories. 

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 suite and Atlassian Suite (Jira and Confluence)  

  • Excellent verbal & written English communication skills  

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications are a plus.
