ROLE OVERVIEW:  

As a Data Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain robust data solutions that enable efficient data integration, transformation, and reporting. Working closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams, you will leverage modern cloud-based technologies to deliver reliable, scalable, and high-quality data products. 

This role has a strong focus on Databricks, SQL, Python, and SAP data integration, supporting the ingestion, transformation, and optimisation of enterprise data assets. 

 

 

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? 

 

Basic Qualification: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related roles. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, and Python. 

  • Experience working with SAP data sources and enterprise data integration processes. 

  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT development and data pipeline design. 

  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures. 

  • Solid understanding of data modelling concepts, including dimensional modelling and schema design. 

  • ADF, Microsoft environment and architecture related experience is highly regarded. 

 

 

Preferred Qualification:  

 

Experience working with Delta Lake and Databricks optimisation techniques. 

Knowledge of Spark and distributed data processing concepts. 

Experience integrating large-scale ERP datasets, particularly SAP environments. 

Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and security best practices. 

Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with distributed teams. 

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 

Experience in pharma/healthcare/CDMO or finance industry is a plus. 

 

 

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:  

 

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, SQL, and Python.  

  • Integrate and transform data from SAP systems and other enterprise applications into analytical platforms. Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes to ensure efficient and reliable data delivery.  

  • Build and maintain data models that support reporting, analytics, and business intelligence requirements.  

  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity through validation, monitoring, and automated controls.  

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.  

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data pipeline and platform issues.  

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of data architecture, engineering standards, and best practices.
