Purpose of the Job: The Product Owner ensures that AI Factory reusable technical components deliver maximum business value, are aligned with strategic priorities, and evolve based on user needs and operational insights. The role owns the product roadmap, backlog, and value realization metrics for AI Factory capabilities, acting as the bridge between business needs, architecture, engineering, and runoperations. The Product Owner ensures clear requirements, quality acceptance criteria, business readiness, and continuous improvement of reusable AI components across PMI.

 

 

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Product Vision, Roadmap & Value Alignment: Define and continuously evolve the product vision and multirelease roadmap for AI Factory reusable components; Ensure alignment with PMI AI strategy, Business Operations priorities, capacity constraints, and architecture direction.
  • Backlog Ownership & Prioritization: Own and manage the product backlog; translate business demands, architecture assessments, and operational insights into structured backlog items; Prioritize based on value, risk, compliance needs, and technical feasibility in partnership with PGM, Architecture, and Engineering.
  • Requirements, UX & Acceptance Criteria: Define highquality functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and nonfunctional needs (security, quality, RAI, scalability); Ensure clarity for Engineering and Architecture teams during design and implementation phases.
  • Delivery Enablement & Development Support: Work closely with Engineering Lead and AI Design Lead during build cycles to clarify scope, resolve ambiguities, and unblock delivery teams; Ensure reusable components evolve with consistent patterns, documentation, and enterprisegrade robustness.
  • Release Management & Business Readiness: Partner with Business Ops, Architecture, and Service Integrators to ensure release readiness, value realization, documentation, and user adoption; Validate that features meet acceptance criteria and compliance controls (InfoSec, RAI, QA).
  • Continuous Improvement & Component Evolution: Gather feedback from users, Service Integrators, incident learnings, and engineering retrospectives; Convert learnings into backlog items, roadmap adjustments, and evolution requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication & Transparency: Provide transparent updates to leadership and stakeholders (roadmap, risks, KPIs, release notes); Facilitate crossteam alignment across Architecture, Engineering, RAI, InfoSec, and Business Ops.
  • KPI Ownership & Value Measurement for Products: Define and track KPIs for adoption, component performance, quality, reliability, and user satisfaction; Use datadriven insights to adjust priorities, improve product fit, and ensure longterm sustainability.

 

 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Operations, or equivalent experience. Preferred: certifications in Product Management, Agile/Scrum, or experience with AI/ML delivery.
  • Experience in product management or product ownership in technology environments.
  • Background working with AI platforms, engineering teams, or enterprise technology systems.
  • Exposure to governance, intake management, or multistakeholder delivery models.
  • Strong analytical skills and familiarity with security, compliance, or RAI considerations is a plus.
