We are currently seeking for an experienced systems engineering leader with a passion for solving complex technical challenges and shaping next-generation connected devices, this role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact on products used by millions of adult consumers worldwide.

 

Your ‘day to day’

As a Principal Design System Engineer, you will ensure the design integrity of the device system and is accountable to the Program Manager (PM) for meeting all functional performance, quality, and safety/compliance requirements throughout the NPI/NPD process. You will serve as the technical authority for system architecture, integration, and design integrity across multiple NPI/NPD programs. You will drive system-level decisions from concept through commercialization, ensuring products meet performance, quality, manufacturability, compliance, and consumer requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead system architecture, integration, and technical strategy across multiple product platforms and development programs.
  • Own and govern Design Input Requirements (DIR), ensuring alignment with product, consumer, and business objectives.
  • Translate consumer insights and business requirements into robust system specifications and design solutions.
  • Drive system-level trade-off decisions balancing performance, quality, reliability, cost, schedule, and manufacturability.
  • Serve as the lead system architect from PoC through EVT, DVT, and production readiness, ensuring delivery of all engineering milestones.
  • Partner with Product Line Leaders, Program Managers, Operations, Quality, and EMS partners to execute successful NPI/NPD programs.
  • Lead technical risk assessments, architecture reviews, root cause investigations, and product improvement initiatives.
  • Act as the senior technical escalation point for platform issues and post-launch engineering support activities.
  • Drive engineering standards, best practices, and governance processes across Design System Engineering.
  • Influence future technology roadmaps, platform strategies, and system architecture decisions.

 

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • Extensive experience in system-level product development within consumer electronics, IoT, or connected device environments.
  • Proven experience leading system architecture and integration activities for complex NPI/NPD programs.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering, requirements management, product lifecycle development, and system verification.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Experience working with OEM/ODM/EMS manufacturing partners.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
