Your ‘day to day’

You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc.

As the NPI Project Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the introduction of new electronic devices from industrialization to mass production. You will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines, and driving operational excellence across our EMS partners. 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the introduction of new electronic devices from project scope definition through concept/prototype builds, industrialization, and mass production ramp completion 
  • Ensure smooth transition from concept to robust and manufacturable products.
  • Manage Product and Process Improvement projects at EMS partners.
  • Coordinate multicultural and cross-functional teams across geographies, including internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop program schedules, track progress, and ensure delivery with optimal quality, performance, cost, and volume.
  • Request and manage Capex budgets for design, development, and production readiness.
  • Propose mitigation options to the Steering Committee or Senior Management.
  • Address training needs and optimize operational models for project execution.
  • Communicate and network with senior management, suppliers, service providers, and consultants.
  • Lead development of technical/commercial solutions and resolve complex project issues.
  • Participate in business justification processes including feasibility studies, benefit-risk analysis, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Apply technical and commercial expertise in electronic device design, development, and manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with PMI policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidential information and ensure product compliance.
 

 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 7–10 years of experience in Project Management, NPI, and Product/Process Improvement 
  • Highly skilled in project management, product development, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Skilled in Global Quality Systems (GQS), industrialization, procurement, and finance principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and risk management capabilities.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
