Your ‘day to day’

You will be employed under Philip Morris Electronics Shenzhen (PMES). PMES operates as a subsidiary of Philip Morris International, Inc.

As the NPI Project Manager Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the introduction of new electronic devices from industrialization to mass production. You will be responsible for managing cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines, and driving operational excellence across global suppliers.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the introduction of new electronic devices from product industrialization to mass production.
  • Take full accountability for capacity expansion at technical transfer suppliers, from business case initiation to mass production.
  • Coordinate cross-functional, cross-organizational, and cross-geographical teams to develop program schedules, track progress, and ensure timely delivery with optimal quality, performance, cost, and volume.
  • Propose mitigation options to the Steering Committee or Senior Management for decision-making.
  • Initiate operational model optimization to improve project execution efficiency and quality.
  • Train and mentor team members in all areas related to new product introduction (NPI) project management.
  • Manage resource allocation across multiple projects.
  • Ensure a smooth transition from concept to volume manufacturing at both Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
  • Own the development of capacity expansion projects, including business justification, planning, benefit-risk analysis, budgeting, and resource requirements.
  • Manage risk and establish technical and commercial mitigation strategies to meet project requirements (e.g., quality targets, service cost goals).
  • Act as the focal point for regular project status updates and escalation to senior management.
  • Apply best practices and continuous improvement to project execution.
  • Demonstrate technical and commercial expertise in electronic device industrialization and manufacturing.
  • Ensure compliance with PMI policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Protect confidential information and ensure product compliance.
  • Support team growth and development objectives.
 

 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline. 
  • 10+ years of experience in project management, NPI, and product/process improvement.
  • Highly skilled in project management, product development processes, and good manufacturing practices.
  • Strong expertise in risk management, communication, and conflict resolution.
  • Skilled in Global Quality Systems (GQS), industrialization, manufacturing processes, procurement, and finance principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
