Your Day-to-Day
As part of Philip Morris Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., you will lead production and continuous improvement projects that enhance safety, productivity, quality, compliance, and innovation. You will also drive capability-building initiatives, strengthen operational excellence, and ensure compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability, Environment, Health & Safety
- Ensure full compliance with Sustainability, EHS, and regulatory requirements to prevent harm to people, assets, and the environment.
- Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, PMI QMS, and AWS standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement effective controls in collaboration with contractors.
Quality & Compliance
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including process flows, risk assessments, and control plans.
- Manage technical and process training programs in compliance with operational, HR, regulatory, and QMS requirements.
- Monitor training effectiveness and workforce competency through KPI tracking and reporting.
Project Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute projects covering scope, timelines, resources, budgets, risks, and documentation.
- Review technical designs, contractor deliverables, and project requirements.
- Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, validation, and regulatory compliance.
Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
- Lead continuous improvement and productivity initiatives from concept through implementation.
- Support global and regional projects while maintaining documentation for knowledge transfer.
- Act as the key contact for assigned projects and ensure audit readiness and timely closure of actions.
Training & Capability Development
- Develop workforce capability strategies through technical training, qualification programs, and competency assessments.
- Identify and close skill gaps to strengthen technical expertise and operational readiness.
- Maintain training compliance, records, and qualification frameworks to support current and future business needs.
Cost & Performance Management
- Monitor project progress, budgets, cash flow, and expenditures to ensure cost-effective delivery.
- Evaluate project outcomes against objectives, compliance standards, and stakeholder expectations.
- Analyze productivity losses, drive improvement actions, and implement best practices to enhance performance.
Who We’re Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical, or related disciplines).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Production, Technical, Engineering, Facilities Management, or Utilities Operations within an industrial environment.
- Exposure to process improvement, asset management, contractor management, and electrical systems is preferred.
- Strong project and process management capabilities; PMP certification or formal project management training is an advantage.
