We’re looking for a Senior Security Specialist who serves as a security operator within an affiliate on behalf of the PMI Corporate Security Operations team. Delivers, participates in, and executes daily security operational activities and services within the assigned security portfolio as directed. Provides on-site security support to various business units, including commercial, manufacturing, supply chain, and others, on security-related topics as outlined by Security Operations.

 

Responsible for executing, implementing, driving, and following up on security programs, security risk programs, governance, policies, procedures, and requirements to identify and address threats, and mitigate all security risks to people, assets, and reputation.

 

Works to minimize and prevent security losses and property damage by ensuring that all risk mitigation plans, and emergency response procedures are implemented, trained, tested, and maintained.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Leadership: As part of the local security team, ensures the implementation of the function's deliverables, objectives, plans, and budget execution. Executes core security activities to align with business requirements and ensures compliance with company and security regulatory requirements. Provides input to continuously improve performance by recommending updates to new and existing local procedures, SOPs, guidelines, and security best practices.
  • Management Arrangement: Implements the security management system and programs, striving for continuous improvements to protect people, business, assets, and reputation. This is done in accordance with company Principles and Practices and applicable regulatory requirements. Ensure that programs and procedures are adhered to, and that actions - deliveries are clearly communicated, understood and worked.
  • Risk Management: Conducts and supports local security risk assessments and their execution. Provides input for the risk mitigation action plan and supports its implementation. Performs annual risk assessment reviews and gap analyses as directed. Contributes to the development and maintenance of local security guidelines, procedures, and emergency response plans, and oversees their implementation.
  • Program Delivery: Respond to and reports security incidents in accordance with program requirements. Support root cause analysis and security-related investigations and implement corrective action plans. Conducts annual program health checks, ensuring that gaps and non-conformities are addressed with appropriate controls and followed up on. Engages with site employees to foster ownership of security programs.
  • Training & Communication: Delivers local security training programs, ensuring training records are produced and kept up-to-date in accordance with PMI and applicable legislation. Gather and consolidate participants' feedback to improve training programs and enhance the security culture. Provide and deliver input for security briefs, alerts, instructions, and refreshers. Ensure that all corporate or local security programs, documents, plans, and training are properly delivered.
  • Performance and Reporting: Gather, process and consolidate all security data including incident reports, KPIs, audit reports, budget expenditures. Review and validate all aggregated data before uploading them into reporting systems. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of security related incident and events reporting, to provide focused and detailed reports; escalate trends and critical issues to appropriate levels of management.
  • Incident and Emergency Response Management: Implement and test emergency response protocols in order to protect people, business, assets and reputation from natural and man-made disasters. Review and keep up-to-date protocols on a yearly basis. Administer security incident investigation, analysis, reporting and retain incident records in order to identify patterns, causes and provide guidance/ recommendations to prevent incident reoccurrence. Have the ability to mobilize as a part of a security response team to local incidents / events.
  • Manage Third Parties: Ensure third party service provider's performance consistently meet all PMI requirements and standards. Administer regular performance review while at the same time maintaining effective coordination and service deliveries.

 

Requirements:

 

  • College/University; Professional Certifications and/or Occupational Trainings. Proper qualifications as per local legal requirements.
  • Minimum - Up to 3 yrs in corporate, operational security environment or related area.
  • Language: Full professional proficiency in English; other relevant local language skills a plus   
  • PC Skills: MS Office Package, Power BI is a plus.
  • Skills: Experience conducting security risk assessments and security or safety audits, familiarity with supply chain security standards (i.e. TAPA, C-TPAT), plus understanding of crisis management and emergency response best practice, security best practices a significant advantage, strong verbal and written communication skills, high level of personal and professional integrity; leads by example, ability to deal with ambiguity in a complex organizational set-up, able to build strong business relationships and smart partnerships, establish strong networks, ability to analysis data and interpretate, administer budget planning and forecasts, deep knowledge of risk, threat and intelligence models.   
  • Travel: Up to 5% travel throughout the Affiliate, occasional trips within the region.
