We're looking for a Manager Security & Market Safety to join our team in Sahiwal. Bring us your curiosity and a desire to challenge the everyday routine, and we’ll give you lots of responsibility. You’ll help us improve, inject innovation and build new ways of working that span the whole world.
PURPOSE
Oversee affiliate Security and Market Safety domain including Manufacturing and Leaf security operations, delivery of Security and Market Safety services / products within the assigned local portfolio. Act as the key Security and Market Safety SME for Manufacturing & Leaf and local leadership team across various business units.
Coordinate, implement, and follow up on Security and Market Safety programs, risk management, governance, policies, and procedures to identify and address local threats, mitigating risks to people, assets, and reputation.
Minimize Security and Market Safety losses and property damage by ensuring risk mitigation plans and emergency response procedures are implemented, trained, tested, and maintained. Ensure compliance with regional and local legislation, PMI Principles & Practices, standards, and guidelines.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Leadership & Management
Manage security operations at Manufacturing and Leaf sites in collaboration with Security and Market Safety organization and in alignment with corporate Security and Market Safety operational strategy, vision, and commitments. Manage daily Security and Market Safety operations, individual performance, and timelines; cascade corporate Security and Market Safety objectives, set personal objectives/goals, and advance career paths and succession plans.
Conduct mid-year and annual performance reviews, maintaining regular touchpoints with business stakeholders. Ensure the necessary skills, capabilities, and up-to-date training needs to excel. Develop skills and capacity through coaching, mentoring, and guidance from line manager.
Build relationships and trusted partnerships with peers, Security and Market Safety teams, leadership, stakeholders, and local industry networks. Provide coverage during team members' absences and be prepared to cover for the Senior Security and Market Safety Manager or others when needed.
Business Alignment & Visibility
Assess local emerging business and Security and Market Safety operational needs to mitigate potential Security and Market Safety threats and risks. Highlight risks and exposures to affiliate leadership, regional Security and Market Safety, and other stakeholders. Identify and resolve Security and Market Safety issues within the affiliate, maintaining situational awareness of internal and external threats to support business decision-making.
Regularly liaise with local management, stakeholders, peers and regional Security and Market Safety leadership to align Security and Market Safety operational deliverables, products, and services with corporate Security and Market Safety operational objectives. Influence employees, including local leaderships, to foster ownership and adherence to Security and Market Safety programs and standards.
Support the corporate Security and Market Safety governance model and collaborate with other local functions during investigations. Be prepared to mobilize within the region during crises or incidents. Enhance the corporate Security and Market Safety brand within the local affiliate.
Oversee and manage the daily performance of Security and Market Safety needs and programs within Manufacturing & Leaf operations to ensure the safety and Security and Market Safety of company personnel. Conduct and support local Security and Market Safety risk assessments and reviews at the affiliate level.
Perform root cause analyses and Security and Market Safety-related investigations, implementing and validating corrective actions. Identify threats and address or mitigate risks and non-conformities. Respond to and report Security and Market Safety incidents as required by the program.
Conduct regular health checks to ensure the affiliater Security and Market Safety portfolio complies with corporate Security and Market Safety and local regulatory requirements. Maintain and test protective measures, contingency plans, and emergency response procedures. Support local Special Situation Management Teams (SSMT) and ensure the Security and Market Safety processes and resources are proactive rather than reactive.
Training & Capabilities
Plan, organize, and deliver local Security and Market Safety training programs in line with corporate Security and Market Safety operations, PMI, and local regulatory requirements to build a robust Security and Market Safety culture and expertise within the affiliate. Provide SME support to local management on physical Security and Market Safety, emergency response, crisis management, business continuity, and other Security and Market Safety topics.
Identify and address local training and upskilling needs to enhance team and individual performance. Ensure regular communication with employees through affiliate meetings, Security and Market Safety briefs, alerts, and refreshers. Organize and deliver bespoke local trainings to equip everyone with the necessary skills and up-to-date knowledge. Maintain and update training records as per PMI requirements.
Budget & Cost Management
Provide input into the corporate and manage local Security and Market Safety budgets, including revisions and travel expenses. Ensure effective budget management by proper controls, planning, analysis, and regular monitoring of spending. Encourage/recommend productivity and cost reduction initiatives.
Ensure the affiliate S&MS function operates cost-effectively, providing fiscal value to the business. Seek ROI opportunities for all Security and Market Safety services and products provided within thearea of responsibility.
Performance, Reporting & Incident and Emergency Response Management
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of local Security and Market Safety incidents and events. Review and consolidate metrics and KPIs to provide detailed reports and analysis. Monitor trends and critical issues to keep local management, corporate Security and Market Safety operations informed.
Develop, implement, manage, and test local emergency response protocols for the affiliate to protect people, business, assets, and reputation from disasters.
Regularly review and update Security and Market Safety protocols.
Manage local Security and Market Safety incident investigations, analysis, and reporting, retaining records to identify patterns and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence. Be ready to mobilize as part of a Security and Market Safety response team.
Administer and furnish regular reports to the Affiliate and Regional Security and Market Safety Manager and others.
Security and Market Safety & Risk Management
Conduct complex risk assessments and screenings. Collect and analyze documentation, statistics, reports, and threat-risk trends. Establish local policies and procedures to identify and address threats and risks within the affiliate or small cluster.
Review and assess risk management policies and protocols, making recommendations and implementing improvements. Propose and implement risk management solutions, such as assurance, Security and Market Safety policies, business continuity plans, and recovery measures.
Draft and present risk reports and proposals to functional/affiliate leadership. Lead and conduct Security and Market Safety investigations through local cross-functional collaboration, briefing Manufacturing and Leaf leadership on findings.
Third Party Service Providers / Project Management
Manage and oversee local third-party service providers in collaboration with Procurement, Corporate Security and Market Safety Operations Leadership, and Central Program Teams. Ensure their performance consistently meets all PMI requirements and standards through comprehensive local metrics and KPI monitoring. Participate in regular local performance reviews to ensure effective delivery and execution by third-party providers.
Capable of supporting and being part of a team to manage complex Security and Market Safety projects from Front End Engineering Design (FEED) through to commissioning. Able to administer, oversee, and deliver Security and Market Safety integration projects involving assets, technologies, personnel, vendors, and operations at the affiliate or small cluster level.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
EDUCATION
College/University; Security and Market Safety Diploma or Professional Certification (CPP)
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5+ years experience gained in the corporate, operational Security and Market Safety managerial environment (all threat operating theaters) or related field/area.
Preferably from a Security and Market Safety manager/Security and Market Safety services management background (Oil & Gas, EPCM, Investigations, Intelligence, Crisis Management, Security and Market Safety Risk & Resilience, Security and Market Safety vendor services etc).
Knowledge of specialist Security and Market Safety systems & Security and Market Safety tools/products/services, hands-on experience in dealing with local/regional/international Security and Market Safety issues.
Able to demonstrate a local industry network.
Language: Full professional proficiency in English and Urdu; other relevant local language skills a plus including Pashto
Skills: Experience conducting Security and Market Safety risk assessments, projects, programs and Security and Market Safety audits, familiarity with supply chain Security and Market Safety standards (i.e. TAPA, C-TPAT), understanding of crisis management and emergency response best practice, knowledge of executive protection and journey management best practices a significant advantage, multiple threat diverse experience an advantage, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, high level of personal and professional integrity; leads by example, ability to deal with ambiguity in a complex organizational set-up, able to build strong business relationships and smart partnerships, able to establish strong networks, ability to analysis data and interpret, administer budget planning & forecasts, administer risk, threat and intelligence programs effectively.
