About the Future in Progress: Graduates program
Our 24-month cross-functional program is structured around three 8-month rotations. From day one, you’ll work on real projects, gain hands-on experience, and build skills across a variety of teams. You’ll also join a supportive graduate community, benefit from a premium learning curriculum — including workshops, training sessions, digital tools, and hackathons — high challenges, and high support from mentors and senior leaders.
During your rotations in Operations, you could work in areas such as:
- Manufacturing: Join the team that drive efficient and innovative manufacturing, supply chain, and product distribution to ensure global availability of PMI’s products. Focus on operational excellence, quality, and cost optimization across factories and logistics networks. Supports the innovation, scalability, and continuous process improvement of our transformation. One of the three rotations may include night shifts as a Supervisor role in Production.
- Factory Services: Contribute reliable and efficient factory operations by overseeing utilities, site infrastructure, and supporting services. Support Manufacturing through proactive strategies, continuous improvement initiatives, and the deployment of advanced technologies to optimize overall plant performance.
- Engineering Solutions: Operate within a dynamic, innovation-driven environment focused on delivering advanced technological solutions for Operations. Engage cross-functional projects to enhance efficiency, performance, and scalability across manufacturing processes, leveraging cutting-edge technologies, and continuous improvement approaches.

To be eligible for the Future in Progress Graduate program, you should have:
- Bachelor's or master's degree achieved within the last 3 years.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in management engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics engineering or similar.
- A maximum of 3 years of post-graduation work experience within Manufacturing/Operations context
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Legal right to work in Italy (without sponsorship)
- Capacity to set priorities and solve complex problems occurring in production or any other operations area.
- Ability to analyze large datasets and draw accurate conclusions.
- Proficient use of MS Excel will be an advantage.
- Previous experience in Project Management is a plus.
- Agility and adaptability in a dynamic market.
- Initiative and courage to experiment.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
