We are now recruiting a Buying & Processing Specialist in Bastia Umbria, Perugia to join our Leaf Operations Department.

Your purpose:

Mantain proper leaf production schedule while ensuring constant monitoring of process quality and performance. Support Buying & Processing Coordinator during quality and visual inspection of packed leaf. Ensure proper level of processing controls in line with Leaf Best Practices while maintain internal records of activities executed. Support Buying & Processing coordinator in planning and projects execution as well as continuous local improvement initiatives while supporting Regional and global processing strategy.

Your ‘day to day’:

• Plan, prepare and support processing controls - Maintain templates for assessment and reporting - Carry out detailed statistical analysis of data, report findings in order to support decision making process 
• Execute preliminary verifications to ensure adequate preparation of Buying Stations
• Monitor green leaf moisture test results on a daily basis, highlight unusual trends and escalate where appropriate to Processing Manager
• Perform Best Practices weekly and monthly controls 
• Support on projects execution and field visits
• Perform projection on yield
• Monitor and report on daily basis the production output by blend comparing actual performances vs. standard blend sheets
• Actively participate to the leaf stock counts

Who we’re looking for:

• College/University Degree in Engineering – preferably specialized in Agri-food technologies or mechanical
• Preferred 2 years working experience with background in Operations (manufacturing or leaf)
• Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
• Good level of English

The role is based in our Leaf Department offices in Bastia Umbria (Perugia).

Availability to travel within the country is required.
