Your role

The Area Leader connects regional strategy with on‑the‑ground execution, driving commercialization initiatives across all categories (Reduced-Risk Products/RRP & Combustibles) in line with the company’s smoke‑free vision. The role leads and develops a team of Business Builders, fostering coaching, collaboration and executional excellence to deliver market share growth, consumer conversion, superior in‑store experience and optimal distribution. With a strong data‑driven approach, the Area Leader identifies opportunities, resolves operational challenges and ensures field activities align with strategic priorities. This position is key to accelerating RRP growth and reinforcing the company’s leadership at regional level. You will operate in a highly dynamic and innovation‑driven environment, with strong exposure across commercial functions and the opportunity to influence a fast‑growing, transformational category; this role combines strategic ownership and hands‑on leadership, offering significant visibility and impact into the organization.

 

Your ‘day to day’

  • Go to Market

Drive the local execution of go-to-market strategies, ensuring multi‑channel and multi‑platform deployment. Set targets with the team, monitor performance and ensure alignment with national guidelines and company standards. Leverage analytics and digital tools to optimize territory performance and enhance decision-making quality.

  • Team Management & Development

Lead and develop the field team through regular field visits, structured feedback and coaching. Strengthen digital and remote point of sales (POS) management capabilities and coordinate training initiatives to ensure execution excellence.

  • Area Management & Business Planning

Oversee strategic territory planning and flawless execution of RRP and combustible strategies across trade and retail. Identify local opportunities, activate and educate retail partners and ensure top performance across all POS with strong focus on visibility, stock and NPS.

  • Ecosystem, Channels & Platforms

Maintain a best‑in‑class market ecosystem by optimizing POS clusters, elevating partner engagement and ensuring excellence across all channels. Drive pricing, POSM, fixtures and in‑store execution strategies to enhance category presence and consumer experience.

  • Budget Management

Manage regional budgets using a zero‑based, project-driven approach. Allocate resources effectively, monitor expenditures and implement corrective measures to ensure efficient use of company assets.

  • Corporate Framework & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with company policies, procedures and Marketing Code. Promote integrity, safety and responsible asset use while continuously developing capabilities and strengthening stakeholder relationships.

 

Who We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, Management or related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in multinational or highly structured corporate environments, with a proven track record as a people manager and strong capabilities in coaching, developing and evaluating teams.

  • Experience managing budgets, including planning, allocation and monitoring.

  • Strong commercial acumen and understanding of multi‑channel sales dynamics.

  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make data‑driven decisions.

  • Experience in field execution and territory management.

  • Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management abilities.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to perform in fast‑paced environments.

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken).

  • Willingness to travel across the national territory.

Please note that the Area Leader will be responsible for a broader territory, which extend beyond the specific city of assignment (WL).
