Your ‘day to day’

Based in Hong Kong or Shenzhen, you will support the Smoke-Free Products at electronic Product Development Center (ePDC). Report to the Head of Program in electronic devices team you will lead electronic devices & accessories projects from initial studies to full completion with a particular focus on HW/FW/ SW integration, applying Project Management standard methodologies to ensure successful completion of projects/programs. Connect with collaborators and multi-functional team, internal and external, on an ongoing basis to review project scope and provide status updates, coordinate/lead resources, plan, schedule and coordinate project tasks.

  • Lead projects with a high level of complexity and risk for electronic devices across several different products and portfolios in hardware, firmware and software development. Understand customer brief and business needs on electronic devices and accessories, participate in defining requirements and proposing solutions, and implement the agreed changes to reach the project objectives.
  • Lead software release process, maintain HW/FW/ SW feature work and configuration management plan conforms to the over project plan. Contribute to business justification of projects by leading scope, benefit-risk analysis, budget and resource requirements and enable management to make decisions that meet long term strategies.
  • Allocate and lead resources for assigned projects based on historical information, guidance from other staff, and general understanding of project tasks; anticipate and mobilize multi-functional resources when required. Track and drive the reduction of open items towards project closure. Ensure traceability and quality of work.
  • Apply project management, change management, service management methodology and usability practices based on known solutions, applications and best practices assuring consistency to standards. Develop and deploy tools, systems, process, communication platforms which increase efficiency, speed and support educated decision-making process and effective execution.
  • Resolve sophisticated projects/programs related issues by analyzing, identifying and facilitating recommendations to achieve efficient solutions. Communicate and develop networking with management and partners (customers, suppliers) to facilitate efficiency in the project rolls out.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally demand and prioritization to ensure budget and resources are in place. Ensure data quality, focused governance, documentation and knowledge management, to increase performance and reducing failure risk.

 

Who we’re looking for

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Science / Software or Industry-related or equivalent, MBA preferred.
  • 12+ years of Project Management Experience or equivalent in a multinational environment, within consumer electronics, or electronics industry, experience of leading sizable cross-culture teams and remote teams.
  • Shown knowledge in Manufacturing Practices, Product Specification & Process Manufacturing Standards, Global Quality System, Industrialization and manufacturing processes, Procurement & Supply Chain practice and principles.
  • Knowledge in Agile process for mobile app / cloud software development.
  • Knowledge in DevOps is a plus
  • Experience / knowledge in coding is a plus, C/ C++/ Java/ Python/ JavaScript 
  • Good command of English is a must
