Procurement Account Lead – Marketing & Commercial Categories

Reports to: Procurement Manager CZ&SK

 

Position Overview:

As the Procurement Account Lead, you will be responsible for managing strategic procurement activities across marketing and other commercial categories within Philip Morris Czech Republic. You will play a key role in driving value creation, supplier performance, and compliance with global and local procurement policies. This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, category expertise, and a proactive approach to sourcing and supplier management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Category Management:
    Lead procurement activities for marketing and commercial categories, including media, creative agencies, promotional materials, consumer engagement services, and other related areas.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    Partner closely with internal stakeholders across Marketing, Commercial, and Finance teams to understand business needs and align procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Sourcing & Contracting:
    Develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead RFPs/RFQs, negotiate contracts, and ensure optimal supplier selection and performance.
  • Supplier Relationship Management:
    Manage key supplier relationships, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate risks in the supply base.
  • Data & Reporting:
    Provide regular reporting on category performance, savings, and procurement KPIs. Use data-driven insights to support decision-making.
  • Market Intelligence:
    Stay informed about market trends, pricing dynamics, and innovations in marketing and commercial procurement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Marketing, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in marketing or commercial categories.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Fluent in Czech and English.
  • Experience in a multinational environment and familiarity with procurement systems (e.g., SAP Ariba) is an advantage.
